Chapter 10: The news

Emily's POV
I've been in this waiting room for 3 hours. No one has come and told me what's wrong with my mum. I'm so worried. What if she isn't going to make it? Ali is trying to keep me calm but I just want to know about my mum. Finally someone comes out and tells me what is going on. "Miss fields. I'm Dr. Rollins. Your mum is fine she is just on some very heavy medication and she will be asleep for the rest of the night and tomorrow. I think it's best if you go home and rest.

Me and Alison got home about an hour later when I finished telling the doc to call me if anything happens. Alison walks to the couch and puts on the Tv. I sit down next to her and started watching her favourite to show F.R.I.E.N.D.S., She placed her hand on my leg and just kept stroking my leg knowing that I needed to calm down. We watched tv for an hour before she started to get tired so she rested her head on my shoulder so I kissed her head and stood up. She looked at me with sleepy eyes and stood up with me. "What we doing em?" "I'm taking you to bed Ali your about to fall asleep on the couch." She smiles at me and nods her head. I turned everything off and made sure all the doors were locked and started making my way upstairs where Ali had just got changed into her sleeping shirt which is my army one that's really baggy on her.

We both climbed into bed where Ali snuggled into my body with her head in my shoulder. I started playing with her hair because she loves it when her hair gets played with. She lifts her head off my shoulder and smiles at me with the smile I fell in love with. I leaned down and kissed her. She immediately started kissing me back. We slowly rolled over so I ended up on top of her. For now everything was perfect. I put everything with my mum, the army at the back of mind and just focused on Ali. Nothing could ruin this moment.

At least that's what i thought at the time.
