joy couldn't fathom how badly she wanted to be with olivia in that moment. her teacher had given a pop quiz for which joy had no preparation whatsoever. she finished the quiz and left because the professor was asleep and she needed air. her phone rang and she picked up in record time.
"zip lining over the amazon rainforest was almost better than flying!"
"wow! i'm happy for you."
she meant it genuinely and the smile on her face could've powered the entire city of boston.
"it's breathtaking. but that's all i can say. you have to do it yourself one day."
"ok."
and joy spent the rest of her day with thoughts of zipping over the marvelous wonder.
