joy didn't see olivia at school so she took it as a good sign. olivia's first phone call came during her lunch.
"so..."
But that was as far as joy got because olivia was laughing. she was laughing the laugh that joy hadn't heard in so long.
"i flew! like a bird! it was amazing!"
a laugh bubbled it's way up joy's throat and she was laughing with her.
"you sound better."
"oh my god, it's so exhilarating. you're in the clouds and usually you look up in the clouds but instead you're the one people are looking at."
"where are you?"
"brazil. rio de janeiro. i have a couple things on my list here"
and she hung up before joy could form a proper thought.
