It has been almost ten years since the accident. Sarah was alive and save but something had changed that day. Her raven black hair was now half white. And her originally beautiful colbalt blue eyes were now an even prettier lilac with blue specks. She was pale and always had been. She had grown into a beautiful young woman from being a pretty little girl. Sadly her parents had realized early after the accident that she had....abilities. So they paid for people to keep things quiet and left town.

They made her room out of non conductant material and her clothes. They refused to hug or kiss her anymore. They read her bed times stories from outside the room and kept her locked in there. With her little rubber toys that often ended up melted. As she grew her intrest in books, her studys grew and she began to learn more languages. She sang to her self and learned all about the heros of the justice leauge. And the junior leauge. They seemed interesting she wished she could meet them. And today. Three days until her birthday during a thunder storm none the less she was going to.

Her parents had read her the bed time story and then went to bed. Now it was time for her to leave. "Come on Anna." she whispered as she drew her one stuffed animal to her. She placed on her back pack and broke the window a loud alarm broke the silence of the night waking both her parents. She dove out and for the forest. "Sarah!" Her parents broke out the front door and looked around a few moments later but she was already off. Too far into the woods going in a straight line as to not get lost. She clutched Anna to her chest as she ran farther and farther away from her home. Distantly the cries of her mother could be heard. She refused the urge to turn around and run back. It wasn't until a bolt of lightening struck right infront of her that she lost all wanting to go back. She wanted to see the world. Once her parents read the letter they would understand. She hoped.

POV Change

I woke as soon as the sun burned my eyes. Hissing slightly I stood looking at the woods around me. Anna sat against the tree to point me the right way to go and I picked her up before walking on. Papa and Mama had to understand. They had to. I pulled my hair back into a messy pony tail of curls. Before unpacking my hood and throwing it on. And covering my head. I just wanted to hug one of them. They were so cool. They are the only things that gave me the courage to leave home.

One hug would be the best birthday present ever. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath for once I didn't smell rubber. I hummed quietly as I finnally ended in a town. Oh thank god. I made it to a town. "Excuse me?" I ask a stranger.

"Yes what can I help you with?" The man asks.

"I was wondering how far I am from The Hall of Justice?" I ask quietly.

"Well not too far but thats if your going by car are you walking?" He asks.

"Yes sir." I reply.

"It would take you a while to get there at that pace. Would you like me to give you a ride down there?" He asks.

"That would be great thankyou." I smile.

"We can leave tomorrow but for now are you hungry?" He asks.

"A little." I say playing with my sleeves.

"Great you can come to my house for dinner my grand kids and wife will love to meet you." He smiles and I smile back allowing part of my face to show. The drive was very short and soon we arrived at the elderly mans house his wife greeted me with open arms but barely even greeted her husband.

"This is great! Another person to enjoy dinner with! The girls will just love you!" The elderly lady hugged me and I backed away slightly afterwards.

"Girls!" She calls and two small girls rush down the stairs they looked almost identical other than one had a tiny scar on her eye brow. Each had bright blonde hair and glowing green eyes that shone with excitement.
