"Hey guys." I smile exiting my room seeing all of them all dressed up. "Hey Sarah whats you're costume." Megan asks me. "Costume?" I ask. "For Halloween silly." She giggles. "I've never really celebrated it." I smile slightly. "Never?" Wally asks."I never really wanted to." I nod. "Here I'm sure we can find you something." She leads me to my room and starts throwing clothes at me. In the end I wore a pair of tight black pants black heels and a black leather jacket over a white shirt. She did my hair pretty fluffy and we quickly painted my nails black and I did my make up. With black eye liner a wing and a soft natural eye shadow. I added a dark cherry red lips stick and Megan continued to tease my hair. "Goregous. You're like a greaser girl with fun hair!" She giggles and I smile hugging her. "Now I just need some where to go." I smile. "You can come to my school dance." She smiles. "Okay." I giggle. As soon as I walked out Wally caught my eye. Fake hair was glued to his face. "Hey Wally." I smile. "Woah babe." He sighs. "You wish Wally." I laugh. "You're right but hey you wanna be my date just for tonight?" He asks. "Sure buddy." I laugh. "Thank you so much!" He hugs me tightly. Eventually after Artemis and Zatana leave as well as Captain Marvel we all went to Megan's school once there Wally stayed next to me sort of like what I expected a older brother to do. We met up with Megan and Conner's friends and she was quick to introduce us. I paid no attention in reality I looked around at everyone else. After a moment there was a tap on my shoulder. Turning I saw a boy shorter than me and a blush on his face. He had long brown hair and brown eyes to match. He was dressed as a magician and he made sure to not look me in the eyes. "Would you dance with me?" He asks. "Sure." I smile he looks up suprised and smiles. "Really?" He asks. "Of course do you mind if I take my heels off though?" I ask. "N-no." He responds. I smile and pull them off handing them to Wally. "I uhh... Can't dance." He says embarrassed. "That's fine here." I took his hands and placed them on my hips. "Hold my hips and I'll hold your shoulders. And then we move with the music." I smile getting a bit closer. Even without the heels he was still shorter than me and he smiles up at me. He laid his head on my shoulder as we moved to the slow music. "Why did you want to dance with me?" I ask as our song ends. "Well don't make it obvious but there's a big group of people behind me." I glanced over seeing them as we continued with another song. "Yeah?" I question. "All of them have dates and they keep calling me loner boy their my friends I guess but I wanted them to stop so I told them I would ask the prettiest girl in here to dance." He says. "So it was like a dare?" I ask. "No! No no! I just thought you were really pretty and wanted a really good excuse to talk to you and I guessed that if I did what I did my friend would stop making fun of me and I could dance with the prettiest girl here." He responds blushing bright red. "Hey I'm kinda thirsty wanna walk over there with me?" I ask. "Sure." He nods seeing that his friends stood by the drinks. I took his hand and he smiled brightly at me. "Wait what's your name?" He asks. "I'm Sarah." I state. "I'm James." He smiles. "Okay." I nod. "Hey James looks like you got a girl how much are you paying her?" Laughs one he had his arm around a girl in a Supergirl costume. "Haha very funny, Mike. Sarah and I are just here for drinks." He sighs. "Hey James if your not paying her kiss her." Calls another. "Eww that's nasty who would kiss James?" A girl laughs. "I think you need new friends." I mention quietly. "I-I'm sorry." He stutters. "You're right I mean have you seen him?" A boy asks.

James seemed to be becoming more and more slouched. "Hey James look up at me for a second." I mention. He did so and I placed my lips on his. He wasn't a bad kisser. His arms snaked around my back and mine around his neck. "Woah! She's actually kissing him." Someone shouts. "I think you're awesome." I pull back. "C-can I have your number?" He asks. "Sure. " I nod digging my phone from my back pocket. "Hey James if their rude to you you can call me okay. Any time I'll be here." I smile. "Really?" He asks. "Of course." I nod. He cheered then excused him self to got o the restroom and I turned back to his friends that still sat suprised. "You actually kissed him." Someone states. "Yeah I did and he's not a bad kisser." I glare. "She must have really low standards." A girl whispers to her boyfriend. "Apparently their higher than yours." I state looking at her boyfriend. "Excuse me?" She asks. "You're excused you can go." I smirk. "What did you just say about my boyfriend?" She asks. "Nothing unless you count the fact he's a walking STD." I respond. "Listen here and you listen good. You currently have kissed the most unpopular boy in school and probably no one else with that face. My beauty could get me anyone in here." I quickly took in her appearance. "Looks like it already has." I state blankly. She grows furious and tries to hit me. I simply hold a hand up and block her weak hit. Before I grabbed her arm in one hand and squeeze. "I could snap your arm like a twig right now." I squeeze a bit harder causing her pain. "But I won't. Because I need to make you a deal. You and your little friends don't mess with James and all of you stay mostly not hurt. If I hear any of you or even someone who isn't you guys has hurt him I will personally break each and every single one of every one of your limbs" I let her go and she scurries back to her boyfriend. "And he doesn't need to hear about this." They all shook their heads and in that moment I heard James.

I know I sound like an insane person but Everytime I had been able to explore using my powers I saw James getting made fun of or hit and I had grown attached to him.

Later after many pictures a couple of short kisses and a bunch of laughing then finally the weird Martian scare Megan had found me again. "I have to go will you call me?" I ask James. "Of course." He nods and hugs me tightly. I pressed a kiss to his cheek and left. "Who was he?" Megan asks as we leave. "I guess he's my boyfriend." I shrug taking my shoes from Wally. "You're what?" She shrieks. "I'll tell you all about it when we get home." I laugh and we head home once there she grabbed my arm dragging me into the kitchen. She made a quick pot of tea and set a cup in front of me. "Spill." She says excitedly.

So I told her all about my small adventure and all about James. And as soon as I was done my phone made a sound. Quickly I dragged if from my pocket to see a message from James.

Hey the dance was fun I was wondering if you wanted to do it again sometime? -J

That sounds great when is a good time? -S

How's next Saturday @ Marks diner? -J

Okay but I hope this isn't the last we will text between here and there. -S

"Ooh I wanna see the messages!" Megan grabs for my phone. "What no!" I jump away. "Come on let me see!" She whines reaching again. "No my private messages are none of your business!" I begin to run. Megan chases me down and eventually tackles me. I notice all of the team standing in shock. "Give me the phone!" She sits on me grabbing my phone. I struggled against her and she scrolled through my messages. "Awwwwww!" She gushes. "Megan!" I whine. "That's so cute! I knew this party would be good for you!" She gets up handing me my phone. "What is happening?" Artemis asks. "Sarah got a b-" I put my hand over her mouth. "They don't need to know!" I hiss sharply. She smirked and bit on my hand. "Sarah got a boyfriend!" She shouts skipping all around. My face heated to the point it should probably be melting off. "You did what?!" Artemis asks happily. "She got a date this next Saturday and everything!" Megan giggles. "Megan!" I cry out. "Tell us!" Artemis and Zatana crowd me. "His name is James and we're not technically dating yet." I explain. "Have you kissed him?" Wally asks. "She just met him today she probably only hugged him." Robin states. "He's really not a bad kisser. And hes super shy and he said I was the prettiest girl in the room." I find my self gushing. "Awwwwww!" All the girls scream loudly. "What was his costume?" Artemis asks. "Hold on I think I have some pictures." I giggled dragging out my phone. I saw one more message from James.

Headed to bed I wanted to wish you good morning tomorrow but I don't think I'll be awake early so I'll send it now just don't open the next message until tomorrow. -J

And just below that was.

Good morning beautiful. <3

I blushed and hid my face with my hands and phone. "What?" Artemis asks. "I showed her my phone. "Don't open it right now I want to see the notification tomorrow." I state. She nods and glances at it before gushing loudly. All the girls did the same and I just smile.

"The pictures?" Wally asks confused. "Oh yeah." I giggled and quickly open my camera. "There he is." I giggled clicking on the first one that I meant to set as his profile. "Awwww hes adorable." The girls gush. "He's not even muscled I'm not sure what you see in him." Robin frowns. "Not all girls are that shallow Robin and I happen to really like the way he looks." I hiss. I took my phone back and quickly found a picture of us together. "Look!" I gush to the girls they all run over gushing with me. "Girls." Robin frowns. "I'm going home." He adds. "Good night Robin." Everyone began clearing out and I went to my room still happy.
