I couldn't believe it they had done it. Six days of someone staying up all night and constantly warning me to keep my powers under control. Every night there would be a soft voice while I slept just over and over. "Control your power, Sarah it's okay." I didn't know how they lasted so long. "Tonight's the night." Aqualad says. As I pass to get some milk. "Tonight's the night." I repeat taking small sips. "You can do it Sarah." Smiles Megan handing me a warm cookie. "Here we got you a little something." Robin passed me a box with blue wrapping and purple ribbons. I carefully untied the ribbon and took the lid off. Inside sat a medium sized teddy bear. It was dark blue and had silver on each of it's paws and even a silver nose. I carefully lifted the bear into my arms suprised by how soft it is. "Awww guys." I smile brightly. "We thought you might like him." Wally pat's my head. "I love him." I gushed hugging the bear tightly. "What's his name?" Superboy asks. "Hmm..." I hold the bear away from me for a moment. "Aiden." I respond. "Aiden??" Artemis snorts. "It's a great name!" I defend. "What ever." She laughs. "Good night Sarah." Megan smiles. "Good night guys." I wave taking Aiden to my room. "Wait! Sarah!" Robin runs up to me. "Can you wear this tonight?" He asks holding up a pure black bracelet. "Sure but why?" I ask. "Well it's not that I don't have faith you can do this but if any electricity surges into this mine will alert me and I can get ahold of the team." He smiles. "Okay then." I nod and hold out my arm. "It's going to take a moment to calibrate is that okay?" He asks. "Absolutely. Hey Robin we haven't gotten to talk much since I got here." I note. "Well I'm not a huge talker you see." He comments. "Well you seem to be doing well right now." I smirk. "That doesn't count." He laughs. He finally lets go of my wrist and I smile. "Thanks Sarah sleep well." He smiles at me. "Hey Robin?" I ask turning. "Yeah?" He turns again to me. "If you keep on like that people will think your just an ass." I state and turn around walking away. In my room I rested against the wall giggling to my self before I finally laid down. "Good night Aiden." I kiss the bear and close my eyes.

The next morning I wake fully awake and bounce out of my room. Noticing none of the lights are busted. In the kitchen it is completely silent. I giggle to my self and pull down ingredients seeing as it was five in the morning. The team had the meeting at eight and everyone said we would meet at seven. I get to work leaving mixing bowls around the kitchen and setting up my assembly line. I could use my clones but I just wanted to keep my self occupied in case I got bored I would at least have something. I giggle to my self and continue beating the eggs. Soon enough Megan enters the room. "Good morning." I chirp. "Sarah! You're up early!" She smiles. "Yep." I giggle. Megan yawns slightly and I turn seeing dark circles under her eyes. "You go back to bed I got this." I giggle. "Are you sure?" She asks. "Of course you need some more sleep." I laugh slightly and she walks out. Once she is gone I grab the remote for the TV and turn it into some music. I sing quietly to my self and continue to cook.

"You have a pretty voice." I jump into the air spilling batter on my apron. "Jeez Robin! You scared me!" I gasp. "Oh here your bracelet." I took it off of me and slide it over the bar. "Thanks." He smiles at me. "Anything I can do to help?" He asks. "Yeah actually. Can you chop these?" I ask happily handing him a chopping board with some mushrooms and such on it. He took it uneasily and took the small knife near him carefully cutting each piece. "No no." I laughed taking a larger knife I grabbed a mushroom. "Like this." I quickly cut through the mushroom before dicing it the rest of the way. "Quick, careful slices. And rock the knife. Don't go straight down rock it slightly." I advise watching him struggle. Sighing I take his hand in mine. "Rock the knife down." I push. "Okay." He responds. After a moment he had figured it out even if he was slow. I threw the eggs onto the stove. "Where did you learn to cook?" He asks. "Well eventually I got tired of the meals my parents would slide me through the slot so I asked them to put a kitchen in my room and from then on I watched cooking shows a lot. And when I wasn't watching the cooking shows I was reading cook books." I responded. "Your parents really never let you out?" He asks. "There was no real reason. I had everything I needed. My mother had me pass my dirty laundry through the slot in the wall and I had a bathroom. So I had no reason to leave." I nod. "What about friends?" He asks. "Well I've never had those so it wasn't like I lost anything." I sigh. "The sun?" He asks. "I had a window and pills if I wasn't getting enough." I answer. "That sounds dull." He sighs. "No not really it was educational I guess." I shrug. "How so?" He asks then hisses in pain. In a flash I was there moving his hand away and to the sink. "Wash this out." I state going back to my station and adding the fixings to the eggs. Once his cut was washed I carefully added a bandage and medical tape. "Go sit over there. I'll finish up and we can still talk." I pushed him away from the cooking area. "Any way how so?" He asks again. I throw away a mushroom and a bit of onion. "Well I learned much more than the average person. And it's not like I never got to live." I respond shrugging. "It still must have been horrible." He nods. "Again it's not as bad as it would seem. Though I do prefer it here much more." I answer whilst continuing my small escapade of making the food. I passed Robin a plate with an omlett and three pancakes. Hearing the Zeta go off I quickly got to work on Wally's omlett. "Hey guys what smells so good?" Wally walks in. "Hey Wally." I wave. "Ooh Rob what's that?" I turn in time to see him reaching for Robin's food. I throw a butter knife getting it stuck in the table. "Sorry Robin I forgot to give you a knife." I smile. Wally stares at me with wide eyes and gulps.

"Wally, you're breakfast is ready." I smile. He walks up and I hand him an omlett with his pancakes. "Aww, babe, I could marry you." He kisses my cheek and runs off. Hearing three sets of feet down the hall I grabbed two more pans. Hurrying through three omlett's and nine pancakes. Finally Artemis showed up just in time to eat with me. "Wow you did really good on these Sarah." Smiles Megan. "Thanks." I nod mindlessly looking at the huge pile of dishes. "I'll do the dishes." Megan notices me. "No, no it's fine I will do it after the excersize." I respond. "That's too much Sarah you've already made breakfast for everyone we can't leave you with so many dishes." Artemis argues. "Nah just let me do it. Cleaning calms me down anyway." I respond. "It's a simple training excersize you shouldn't need calmed down." Aqualad says. "You never know." I shrug as I begin to fill the dishes with water. "Are you sure?" Wally asks mouth full. "Positive." I smile and finally release my curls. "I forgot just how big your hair is." Gasps Artemis. "Thanks?" I ask laughing slightly. "Good morning team we are here!" Captain Marvel walks in. "Hey Cap." Wally and them smile at him. "Who's she?" Cap asks. "Nice to meet ya cap. I would think you would have remembered me from the press conference." I hold out my hand. "Your the lighting chick!" He laughs. "The one and only." I giggle. "It's great to meet you." He shakes my hand harshly. I giggled and hold my arm against me. Soon Batman and Martian Man Hunter walked in. "It's ready." Batman says. "Great." I chirp fakely and follow them out. "It's simple. Defeat the enemy protect earth." Batman states. We nodded and I was directed to a table. Taking a deep breath I played with the rubber ring currently resting on my thumb. "Get comfortable." Batman states and I rest my arms over my stomach. "Just close your eyes and try to relax." Martian Man Hunter says. I carefully close my eyes and find my self standing at a mission deck. As we watched the league die I forced my self to repeat 'Just a training excersize.' Finally we were off as Tornado was killed. I went only slightly as we tracked one of the ships to Superman's fortress. In no time we were on the way there. "Are you okay?" Robin asks seeing me shake. "I'm fine." I nod. I clench my hands into fists and focus on calming down. Once we got the gun begin to fuse to the ship I made sure to watch my teammates. I watch a gun raise at Artemis's back. "No!" I scream racing passed Robin. He reaches for me but I am already away. "Artemis move!" I scream. I hit her and she fell out of the fire. As the beam races to me I let electricity move back through it. Then I see red. I hear an explosion. And I watch Wally grab Artemis. It appears in slow motion. I face the team each watches with horrified eyes. I reach forward before screaming in pain as the beam hits me. "Sarah!" Megan screeches.
