C20 - We're good
---
We both get to the hallway together, him still laughing because of me. I just pout my lip, fold my arms, and stomp my leg onto the floor like a child having a tantrum. He only stares at me, a ghost of a smile visible on his lips.
"What?" he asks, lips tugging up to form a teethful smile.
I just roll my eyes, suddenly feeling flustered by his smile.
(For a boy, he sure does have such a gorgeous smile.)
"Nothing. Anyways," I change the topic and look at him. "Don't you want to go inside?"
He snorts and I have to keep myself from laughing.
Does he know that he looks so cute when he does that?
"Why would I?" he asks and shows me his fist with only the thumb popping out. "Only losers attend such assemblies." He then rotates his fist so that his thumb is pointing down, full teeth in view as he flashes me an evil sneer.
"So I'm a loser?" I ask him, quite offended.
He smirks and shrugs, turning on his heel, back facing me.
"I'm going," he says, slightly looking at me over his shoulder.
I can only nod.
"Be..." he trails off and clears his throat. "Be careful."
Then he's walking ahead, hands in his pockets, like nothing has just happened, like he didn't just say something.
I just watch his back and find myself smiling, feeling a familiar fluttering in my stomach.
He told me to be careful.
I don't know, but I feel glad after hearing that.
I really wish to be close to him.
Behind his reckless and cold demeanor, I can feel that he is a good person inside.
I don't know why he's acting so cold, though. He's literary made up of fire and even his eyes are red in color.
So why is he cold... and blue?
If only I know the reason behind that. But I don't know everything.
If only I can be his friend. But he won't let me.
If only he can change.
Looking ahead at the now empty hallway, I just sigh.
If only there is a way to do that.
Wait.
He can change!
If he can't do it by himself – if he's afraid to do it by himself – maybe... maybe he needs help... from a friend.
A friend that will always be there for him.
A friend that will always tell him that everything's fine, even when it's not.
A friend that will take care of him.
A friend that will make him change.
And I want to be that friend.
I will be that person who will melt the ice that's surrounding Hoseok and trapping him inside its walls.
I will be that person who'll change him.
I promise.
