"Woods, let's move it!" Coach yelled as we started to run our laps. We had gym outside every day nowadays because Coach said that fresh built character or something like that. I didn't really mind, I just didn't feel like trying today.

"I'm on it Coach!" I yelled before picking up my pace.

We were about ten minutes into class and I still couldn't find Sara's cousin. It's not like I was looking for him, oh gods no that wasn't what I was doing, I just couldn't pick him out of the sea of kids in our class.

As I was running, I noticed that my left shoe was untied.

Stepping off to the side, I quickly tied it before running back to the track.

I had one more lap left before I could be done, and that was all I was thinking until someone jogged up to me.

The kid must if been Sara's cousin because I've never seen him around school. He had blonde hair with dark brown roots that laid messily on his head. His eyes were the deepest shade of blue I'd ever seen. The overall appearance I got from him made him seem like the typical 'nice guy' type of persona. He seemed like he'd be there for anyone if they ever wanted a hug, which is really what I needed right now. My life had hit rock bottom and I
couldn't tell anybody about it. Maybe this boy was the key to all of my problems. He has no idea who I was so I could tell him everything, and just start over. Wait, what was I thinking? I don't even know his name.

The boy was able to keep up with me as we neared the final stretch of the track. He had said nothing, and neither had I, but then he spoke up "I'll race you to the end," he said. I could hear the Thick Irish accent in his voice, wait. didn't Lizzie say that he was american..Ugh his accent is so cute though.. 'God what am I doing? I have got to snap out of this'

"You're on!" I said, despite the voice in my head screaming at me to avoid him. "Ready, go!" I yelled before sprinting ahead. My feet pounded into the ground as I saw the end coming closer to me. I actually thought I was going to win, well that was until I saw a blur of blond hair streak past me and dash towards the end. It was that boy. His determination made me want to go faster. Pushing myself to go even faster, I was able to catch up with the boy. We were neck to neck as we crossed the finish line, and it was too close to call who won.

" I beat you," I said teasingly before tightening my ponytail.

"Are you kidding? I clearly won," the boy laughed.

"Okay sure you did Irish," I continued.

"Irish? The name's Hunter," the boy said. The more I looked at him the more I saw how his name fit him. He was really cute.

'Stop it Ocean! You don't fall in love remember? You're in your own. Don't stare at him, you're making it worse' I thought to myself.

"Ocean," I said holding out my hand.

Hunter shook it before saying, "I like the name Ocean, It's just like you, pretty."

"Wait, what? Was he hitting on me? He couldn't have been. Shrugging if the comment I continued.

"Thanks," I said. As Hunter began to walk off. I stopped him. "Wait! Um, would you um, like to sit with me and my friends at lunch?" I asked him.

"Sure I'd love to!"

I was about to keep going when Sara and Lizzie walked over.

"Hey ocean, I see that you've met my cousin Hunter huh?" She said nudging my shoulder.

"Um yeah," I stammered

"Hi, I'm Lizzie." Lizzie said extending out get hand out to Hunter.

"Hunter," he said shaking her hand.
