Chapter 1 Do-over

I didn't really like how I started this book of so I'm doing it over hope you enjoy!

"Wake up you good for nothing piece of shi*!" A voice yelled from downstairs, it was my mother..more like a wicked witch. Groaning to my self , I got out of my bed only to be greeted by another yell, this time it was my so called "father"

"Your brother is gonna leave without you, then you're walking!!!!"

Now that got my attention, I immediately sprung out of bed. I depended on my brother, Josh to get me to school every day otherwise I would have to walk two freaking miles from my house to school. I mean..I am an athletic person but definitely not a morning person..so obviously walking two miles in the morning isn't something i really wanted to do.

My brother is taking classes at University, but he's taking a break for a while. I know it's mainly to keep me safe...but once he goes back to Uni I'm gonna be on my own..AGAIn.

For now, I'm just enjoying the fact that I have my brother's company.

As I got out of bed and started getting dressed as per usual. My brother walked into my room and stands in the doorway.

"I'm not gonna leave you Ocean, " he said before walking downstairs... I had just thrown on a T-shirt when my brother walked back in. It was just my "luck' that I was putting on my makeup. Walking over to me, Josh grabbed my wrists "Put the makeup down Ocean, " he told me.

He then grabbed a wet rag and wiped the makeup off my face.. What he just unearthed was practically a monster, well it was my eye...The area around my right eye is slightly swollen and puffy. It was red and purple..it was basically bruised. Then under my left eyes was a huge gash I was trying to hide.

You might be wondering how I got to looking like this by now right..? The answer is my parents, they are terribly abusive and cruel. To them, Josh is the best thing and I'm the accident. They love Josh but treat me like I'm some sort of wild animal! Josh tried to help me as much as he can but he's at University now. The only time he's home is the mornings and then he goes off to school.
