Chapter 3

The next morning, FuriousDestroyer is gone again. I don't feel like getting up though. When FuriousDestroyer gets back, I pretend to be sleeping. I know that he knows that I'm pretending. I'm thankful that he's pretending. Soon, my hunger drags me out of bed. I sit next to him. He hands me a big piece of fresh bread. I slowly (but surely) eat the whole piece.
    We walk in silence. I get cramps a few hours in but I don't say anything. As the sun starts to set, I start getting sleepy because of lack sleep from last night. My eyes start slowly closing. It soon gets so dark that I close my eyes and hold onto FuriousDestroyer's cold gauntlet covered hand as support.
    We walk a little longer before he comes to an abrupt stop. I look up and see the tall walls of a village. Several guards guard the front entrance.
    "Who goes there!"
    "My name is FuriousDestroyer and this is SuperGirlyGamer. We come seeking refuge with someone we know in the village."
    "Welcome to the village of PopularMMOs FuriousDestroyer and SuperGirlyGamer."
    The doors open and he confidently strolls in with me clinging onto his arm. We walk down the streets. In my head I hear Mama Big Bertha saying: "If you ever leave this village, be on your toes." We walk until he stops in front of a small cottage in the middle of nowhere. He knocks on the door. The lights of the cottage turn on. The door opens and in front of us is a short, black haired woman with the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen.
    "Minerva we need a place to stay."
    "Oh look who's finally coming to see their little sister after five years!"
    "It's been a long day Minerva."
    "Fine. We'll talk in the morning. There's an extra room upstairs. You and your girlfriend can share the bed. Goodnight."
    She heads for another room and shuts the door behind her. We take an awkward step into the warm house. FuriousDestroyer leads me up a set of stairs and into a bedroom. With one bed in it. Thank goodness it was an extra wide bed.
    "I'll go ask Minerva for some pajamas for you. Your clothes are covered in dirt."
    He heads back downstairs to Minerva's bedroom. I sit down on the bed and survey the room. There's a door that leads to the bathroom and a fireplace in front of me.
    FuriousDestroyer comes back with a stack of clean pink pajamas. I take them from him and head for the bathroom to change. Once I'm done, I come out of the bathroom to see FuriousDestroyer sitting on the opposite side of the bed that I sat on.
    "You can take the bed and I'll sleep in the floor tonight okay."
    "Thank you."
    I pull up the thick comforter over my body and flop down on the soft pillow. It felt like a cloud compared to my makeshift bed on the hard, cold forest floor. I fall asleep almost instantly on the cloud bed.
