Our Fate (SuperGirlyGamer and FuriousDestroyer Fan Fic)

Chapter 4

The next morning, FuriousDestroyer is gone. As usual. I go downstairs to the kitchen. Minerva and FuriousDestroyer are sitting at a table that's filled with pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast. I sit down next to FuriousDestroyer and fill my plate with the wonderful smelling food.
"So how did you two meet?"
"She's not my girlfriend Minerva."
"Then why was she clinging onto you so tightly yesterday?"
"It was a long walk. She was tired."
"Then why exactly is she here then?"
    "She's the new wielder of the Pink Paulyak Hoe. Orespawn creatures attacked the village of GamingWithJen days ago. Mama Big Bertha is dead. SuperGirlyGamer was Mama Big Bertha's daughter. And the next to wield the Pink Paulyak Hoe."
    "Yes. I felt the disconnection when Mama Big Bertha died. I'm sorry for your loss SuperGirlyGamer."
    "It's fine... "
    "Has FuriousDestroyer been treating you okay?"
    "I um... of course!"
    "Good. If he isn't, you know where to find me. Now let's eat. You look like you haven't eaten in quite awhile."
    We eat in silence. I stuff myself silly with all the food. FuriousDestroyer doesn't eat much. His armor is still on but he finds a way to eat anyways.
    After breakfast, I head back to the room and grab a book off the shelf. I read for a few hours before I go downstairs for some water. I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen and pour myself a glass of water. I'm about to go back upstairs when I hear FuriousDestroyer and Minerva talking. They sound very serious. My curiosity gets the best of me. I press my ear against the door.
    "When are you going to tell her the truth?!"
    "When she's ready for it."
    "And when will that be!"
    "I don't know okay!"
    "Just... protect her okay? She's a sweet and fragile girl who just had her life ruined forever. And now the only person she can trust is a boy she doesn't know anything about. Whenever you feel is right, tell her okay?"
    "I will."
    "Good. Make sure she feels safe with you. You're the only one left for her to trust."
    I hear FuriousDestroyer coming for the door. I run as fast as I can back to our room. I hear the door opening behind me when I get to the top of the stairs. I hear him swear under his breathe as I open the door. I lock the door behind me. I run to the corner and ball myself up. The door handle shakes but doesn't open.
    "SuperGirlyGamer. Please. Open the door."
    "No!"
    "Please. I can explain."
    "You can explain from outside of the room!"
    I hear him swear again. Tears start flowing down my face. What did he lie about? Why would he lie to me?
    "Please just let me in. I promise not to hurt you."
    I stand up and grab the Pink Paulyak Hoe in the corner. I unlock door and step away from the door. I have the Pink Paulyak Hoe and I'm ready to attack if needed.
    "Come in."
    The door handle turns and FuriousDestroyer steps in. He doesn't seem fazed at all.
    "Calm down and put the hoe down."
    "No."
    "I'm not going to hurt you."
    "Then give me your blades."
    He hesitates for a second. Then, he takes off the belt holding the blades and the blades' sheaths and hands it to me. I tie the belt around my waist and I drop my hoe but I hold onto it.
    "I never lied to you about anything okay."
    "That's believable."
    "Please just let me explain."
    "Fine."
    "I told you that no one knows where and who is unleashing the OreSpawn. That's not true. I know who's been unleashing the monsters."
    "Who is it then?"
    "I'm sorry but I can't tell you. But I can tell you that the only way to defeat them is to find all the wielders of the weapons. That's why we came for Minerva. We can't stop this madness without you."
    I stand there taking it all in.
    "So I'm just part of your plan? I don't even know how to fight!"
    "I'll train you to know everything you know everything you need to know about fighting. This is  what your mother wanted SuperGirlyGamer."
     I stand in shock that he mentioned my Mama Big Bertha. Memories of gore and death flood my mind. Memories of happiness come back too. Playing with the village children, sword playing with Bob, listening to Mama Big Bertha tell stories about knight in shining armor and princess in beautiful pink castles. I don't realize I'm crying until FuriousDestroyer starts talking again.
    "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to talk about your mother."
    "Get out."
    "SuperGirl-..."
    "Get out!"
    I throw his sword belt at him. He swiftly catches them and walks away. I slam the door shut. I cry in the corner until it gets dark. I crawl into bed and fall asleep.
