A group of boys stormed out of the main hall. Jaden shouted at the top of his lungs, "WHY THE HELL IS KAIBA A-" before he could swear Jesse interrupted,
"He's a twisted monster." They all sat down and complained about the girls' punishments. They began to think it should be them who should be punished.
Megan's POV
The silence is weird. I mean I'm so use to having my day full of people, chatting and annoyance. I threw the Samsung phone away, that was on my lap, I had no signal. Not even one bar. There wasn't even Wi-Fi. I dropped face down on the bed. Kaiba had made it worse, now Emily and Sapphire had separate rooms for a week. I face planted the bottom bunk bed, it smelt wierd, so I climbed all the way to the top. It was much better here. A book jutted out from under the pillow, I read the cover, 'The sky bird returns'I didn't fancy reading it. With a short burst of strength with my arm, the book sailed over the railing of the bed. There was a small squeal, I sighed, "Dice are you always in the way?" The small Fox barked as its head peeped over the end of the bed. Scooping him up and onto the bed he snuggled into my side. I rolled to face the ceiling and began to sing softly, "Looking up from underneath, Fractured moonlight on the sea, Reflections still look the same to me, As before I went under, And it's peaceful in the deep, Cathedral where you cannot breathe, No need to pray, no need to speak, Now I am under all, And it's breaking over me, A thousand miles down to the sea bed, Found the place to rest my head, Never let me go, Never let me go..." I droned off into humming, there was hours left of my boredom. This is Cabin Fever. In a few hours I'll be licking Windows.
I must've dozed off, because food was on my desk when I woke up. A bottle of water. a small bread roll and a jumbo pack of haribo tangfastics, mmm... The bread disappeared instantly and so did half the water. I rationed out the haribos, their sugar was precious. I began looking through the drawers, I reckon Sophie in obelisk blue was watching tv. Or more than likely playing assassin's creed. I found an empty notebook, a guitar pick and a small yellow pencil with an eraser on top. I kneeled down and looked in a large cardboard box under the bunks. It was layered with thick dust. Upon opening it billows of grey rose into the air. Dice sneezed shooting back a few centimeters. I looked inside to behold a wondrous musical instrument. A red acoustic guitar sat amongst layers of newspaper. With a quick strum she was tuned. I placed the note book on my knee as lyrics came to me from thin air, "Fractured hope is fixable, With a little bit of luck, It's a bit luckless, When you're watching the world flow by.
But who cares, when your here, your arm pulls me in tight, and with all your might, everything is fine. Everything is fine.
Like crisp dew on the fresh grass, your love is renewed, it fixes me up, puts me back.
But who cares, when your here, your arm pulls me in tight, and with all your might, everything is fine. Everything is fine. ..." the pencil furiously scribbled back and forth as the melody was plucked out of the guitar. Sighing I let this mesmerizing task fill my day.
Emily POV
Ugh, I've been separated from the others. I wonder how long my sanity will last. My eyes traced the contours of the ceiling, it wasn't particularly interesting in anyway. Honey sat on the window sill, her long tail swishing back and forth. A growl escaped her lips as she began to pace the room. I had read every book in the room. Most were stupid anyway, like Mates Dates...and whatever. This was humiliatingly boring. I rolled over on the top bunk so my face was buried in the pillow. I threw my arms forward causing a squeak to shake the unstable trio. A groan escaped my lips as I let the unneeded sleep take me.
It was around twelve when I awoke again; a simple meal of a bowl of noodles, fresh orange juice and bar of Galaxy chocolate had been left on my pathetic desk. I prodded the noodles half expecting them to grab the chopstick. I resorted to pigging out on chocolate. I was so bored. After melting a piece of perfectly good chocolate on the radiators, I began to scrounge for some lined paper. Luckily I had my trusty notebook to hand. On finding a decent pen I let creative juices fill me. Yes I know cheesy right? But a kid's fairytale school soon appeared in writing. 'Mist eddied around the tall spires which erupted from the ground. Sparse grass covered a moorland, with a tiny patch of thick deciduous woodland. The carriot pulled by chesnut stallions stopped outside a ten foot tall metal door, whose massiveness at once gave an impression of how I lacked inportance...' The rest of my day was spent drawing the dream school. Honey had the annoying habit of taking off my socks whilst I worked. Yeah I know cute right? Hopefully Mr.I'mSoHappy won't give us another day in solitary confinement. At least I'll be able to fill my surreal reality.
