Chapter 25 - Teller of Tales

The truck rolled to a halt outside a monumental steel gate. It was dark grey with silver and gold beasts decorating it. Emily gasped slightly. Megan climbed out of the vehicle and tapped on the metal, a loud ringing noise resonated. She stumbled backwards as the door began to creak open. Everyone dismounted the truck and it vaporised as Sophie returned the card to her deck. A long stone bridge reached out over a casam to wards the open door of a fortress. The main entrance had been invitingly left open, however, the gothic interior made you reluctant to enter.

Becky stirred in Chazz's arms, she lifted her head and drew a shaky hand over his cheek. Megan quickly jumped to 'question time', "Why where you knocked out? Did you faint? Were you dueling? Why have you got no energy?-" Sophie spun round at her and yelled,

"Shut up!" Jemma put a card on her duel disk, a bandage wove its way round her mouth. "Thank you." Becky gently placed her feet on the ground as Chazz lowered his arms. She shook her head then looked up,

"Don't duel. If you lose you die. Simple as." Jemma folded her arms,

"Blunt much." Emily tipped her head to the right.

"So if we lose we die?" Becky nodded,

"Everytime you lose life points, you lose life energy, your mind, your soul and your body." Megan's mouth dropped slightly. Chazz piped up behind her.

"Sounds like being sent to the stars. This isn't going to be the supreme king all over again. Is it?" Becky shrugged her shoulders.

"Who knows." Sophie clapped,

"I knows." Expectant eyes swivelled towards her, "What? First we need to get to the top of the biggest spire." She pointed to the right of the castle where a large black tower rose up impendingly. It was coated with black interlocking spines and plates, the single window near the middle had a faint mauve glow. At the top it was flat and a small figure could be seen. "That's where we need to be." Their eyes turned back to Sophie. Jemma placed her hands on her hips,

"And how do y'suppose we do tha'" She chuckled softly,

"Fly Jemma. We are not part Dragon for nothing." Megan nodded,

"True 'dat bro, true 'dat." Becky pondered for a moment.

"Won't gian' flying lizards be a bit suspicious?" Sophie nodded,

"Yes hence why I'll use the Spell Card, Sneak Attack. It makes us invisible." Megan clapped,

"Awesomeness!" Jemma took out her own spell card,

"I'm using Giritina's Cloak." Sophie nodded,

"Sure thing." The metamorphosis shocked Chazz slightly as the eight foot tall beasts assumed their postions. He shuddered when he saw the joints dislocate and slide round their body's. The red eyes stretched her wings as a cloak was draped over them concealing them from sight. Chazz screamed as he was lifted up by an invisble hand. There was a deep chuckle as the dragons faded back into sight. They began to beat their wings as gusts of turbulent air gushed down. They soared skywards like bullets they flew towards the spire.

As they landed the figure had disappeared, instead Jaden, Jesse, Sycamore and Jim were all kneeled down. Thick steel chains harshly wrapped around their wrists, legs and waists holding them to the floor. When the invisibility cloak was taken off they still didn't look upwards. Transforming back to themselves, Megan took the lead in sprinting towards them. "Jay-Jay!" she shouted increasing her pace.

"Stop!" Sophie yelled, "It's a trap!" But it was too late, Megan was thrown backwards towards the group as a bolt of blue charge hit her chest. From a large room on the far side an elegant, black, metal door gently opened. Out of the huge entrance stepped a man. He was just a bit shorter than Jim but more wide in his apperance, he wore black armor with veins of gold running through. On his head was a helmet, it dropped down to mid forehead in a triangular fashion. His eyes were an Icy blue and a couple of curls of brown hair drifted down from his forehead. His voice was deep and sounded like two or three were laced over the top.
