Jessica's POV:

My phone buzzes in my pocket. It's a message from Harry. I glance at it and it scares me.

*Can you come over tonight? We need to talk*

~

I arrive at my brother's apartment late Monday night and I'm not excited to see that he's obviously angry.

"God damn it Jess. How long does it take to get here?"

"Harry calm down. All I did was get dinner and some coffee. I needed some alone time. I came as soon as I could."

"Well we need to talk. You can't just make time for yourself Jessica. You obviosuly don't understand what keep it a secret means!"

"Harry I didn't say anything to her. And I'm pretty sure I can do whatever I want. I shouldn't be helping you anyway."

Harry recently asked me to help him with his 'plan to get rich' as he called it.

"Sure you didn't. I heard what you said to her. 'Don't get too attached to me'. That's called hinting. If someone was to catch what I was doing I would get arrested!"

"Harry! Everything you're doing is by choice! You need to get help and maybe you will get a job!"

"Shut the fuck up! You better not say 1 more damn thing. You'll be sorry."

Harry slaps my arm and it leaves a red handprint.

"Harry! What the hell! I can call the police on you and this whole thing will be over. But no! I'm trying to help you. Even though I can't give you anymore of my money and no one will hire you, does not mean what you're planning to do is okay!"

"You don't need to be helping me. I'm fine on my own. I can kick you out of my apartment in 2 seconds."

"Well I actually like Callie as a friend, and I'm not going to let you hurt her. Find a real job. You make me sick. And if you did something to me, Mom and Dad would kill you. Oh wait, you killed them. And you should be lucky that I'm helping! I doubt you can actually go on alone."

Was I being too harsh on him? I barely even knew Callie anyway. Harry has been extremely emotionally damaged after he killed our parents in a car accident a few months ago. He's been doing weird things ever since. I am thinking about just leaving him on his own or even reporting him to the police. But he is my brother after all, and I can't send him to prison.

"You wouldn't have met her if it wasn't for me! And don't you dare bring our parents into this!"

"Harry I'm done with you. Just end this stupid idea and everything will be over. I'm not doing this anymore."

"I swear to god you better shut up. I have a very low tolerance right now. Get out of my face."

"Fine, I will. Why don't I go tell Callie what's actually going on!" I run into the guest room to my laptop that I brought with me as fast as I can. I lock the door behind me before Harry can catch up. He runs right after me and starts banging on the door.

"You better open this fucking door before I kill you!"

I open skype and call Callie as fast as I can. My makeup is already running down my face. Thank goodness she answers quickly.

"Oh my gosh, Jess, what happened?" Callie asks me.

"It's Harry." I tell her. Shit. I should have just been a loyal sibling.
