Friday

Jessica's POV:

Today was the day.

I woke up on Friday morning feeling sick, around 6 in the morning.

"Harry, what time is our flight?"

"It's soon, like 7. Now get up so we don't miss it."

I grabbed my bags and headed for Harry's car. I put my suitcases in the trunk and sat in the passenger seat. The airport was only about 10 minutes away. When we got there, we sat and waited for them to announce our flight number. Not long after, someone came on the speaker.

"Leichester to Houston now boarding."

Harry fell asleep and I shook his shoulder.

"Harry get up. That's us."

Thankfully, he woke up quickly and we walked to the entrance. We took out seats in the middle of the plane and put our carry on bags above us.

The flight went pretty smoothly and we landed around 2 pm and grabbed a hotel to stay at until Harry got the call to go meet Callie. I reached into my pocket to pay my part in the hotel room, but nothing was there.

"Harry, have you seen my wallet?"

"No..What are you talking about?"

"I think I lost it on the plane."

"Great. That's great Jess."

"It only had money and a card in it."

"Still. I don't have that much money to be spending. We'll buy you a new wallet and cancel your card. It's fine. Now let's get to our room before they fill up."

We were standing to the side in the hotel's lobby. The woman at the front desk looked slightly annoyed as she spoke.

"Do ya'll need assistance?"

Her southern accent sounded very strange since I've never heard anything like it before. Harry walked over to pay.

"Yeah. One night please."

She put in our information and gave us our room key. Then, we headed up to our room.

I woke up around 1:30 in the morning to Harry's phone loudly vibrating on the night stool next to where he was sleeping. I hadn't been expecting to get much sleep anyway, having been expecting getting the phone call from his friend. He answered the phone and gave me a look that said it's time to go. So, I crawled out of bed, threw on some comfortable clothes, and went to the car to wait for Harry.

Callie's POV:

Mason and I left around 12. We didn't need to stay for any of the Prom stuff anyway. We found it pointless. We drove back to his place and I changed into my sweatpants and sweatshirt, but them I saw the time.

"Ready?" Mason asked.

"Mason, wait. It's almost one in the morning. I might have to get home."

"Please, just come with me, okay?" He demanded more than asked.

"Okay, fine. Whatever."

~

My stomach dropped when we pulled up to our destination. I thought I was going to loose the makeshift breakfast that I quickly ate before coming here. We were at the Houston airport.

"Mason, what the hell are we doing at an airport at two o'clock on a Saturday morning?" I asked, almost yelling.

"Calm down, you'll see."

"You tell me to calm down way too often. I want you to answer me this time. Now, what are we doing here?"

"I want to introduce you to some people, okay?"

"Who would you be introducing me to? I don't think now is the right time."

"It's only going to take a few minutes." He replied, half ignoring my question.

As we entered the automatic doors of the airport, a guy with curly brown hair caught the corner of my eye. I had to ignore him, though. I had a thing with Mason and I knew it wasn't the time for flirting. Mason led me to a pretzel bar on the other side of the airport and got us each a pretzel.

"I'm not hungry, you didn't have to buy me something." I said, even though I was, but didn't want to throw up in an airport.

"Okay, more for me then. This way."

We walked past the spot where I saw the boy, and I was a little disappointed. That's when I got a call from my dad. It was 3 now. What is he doing calling me? I sighed and answered anyway.

"Hello?"

"Callie. I want you to tell me where the hell you are."

"I- I'm at the airport."

"What?! You're going to get yourself killed! What the fuck are you doing there? Do I need to come pick you up? For god's sake, I knew I couldn't trust that-"

"Dad! It's okay! I'm coming home soon. I didn't know we were coming here."

"If you aren't home by-"

"Okay I will be! I have to go, I'll talk to you soon."

"No, this is unacceptable. I'm coming to pick you u-"

Before he could finish, I hit the end call button. I could barely understand what he was saying, and I wanted to be paying attention to my surroundings.

"Hey, I don't know where they went. Let's go sit outside or something."

"Mason, this is crazy. Maybe if you would just tell me who we're looking for, I could help."

We walked outside and sat on a bench. That's when I saw a car pull up that looked way too familiar.
