On Thursday, Mason and I talked about prom and I decided to go to the mall after school.

I pulled into the mall parking lot and parked my car. I have no idea what store to even go to. This might be harder than I expected.

I walk into the entrance of Dillard's. I don't feel like walking around the mall so I asked a woman if they had any dresses.

"Excuse me, do you have prom dresses?"

"Hmm.. We might have a few left, but a lot of people have come here so there might not be many."

I guess I'm in the right place. I follow her through the store and we finally reach the dress department. Wow. They had a lot for 'a few'.

"Here we are. If you see one you like just ask for a dressing room." the lady said nicely.

"Okay, thank you!"

"No problem honey."

I looked around at the pretty big selection that they had. I was about to leave when I saw a pretty light blue color under all of the dull ones. I walked over to the wall and moved the others out of the way. It was gorgeous. It was a maxi dress with a black top. It was simple, but I loved it. I walked over to the desk to get a dressing room.

"Can I please have a dressing room?"

"Sure, right this way."

I went into the dressing room and tried it on. I think it was the prettiest dress I've ever worn. It was expensive, but I have some money saved up. Especially because I might have a good chance with Mason. I decided on getting it and carefully brought ot back to my car.

Right when I got in the car and my phone vibrated. Mason.

*Just got my tuxedo :)*

*Yayy, and I just got my dress! I'm looking foward to friday :)*

*me too*

I think this was a good sign. Maybe he was just having a bad day yesterday.

Thursday Afternoon

Jessica's POV:

We were leaving this weekend.

"Do you have your stuff packed yet?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, how long are we staying?"

"We're staying at my friend's place for as long as it takes us to finish."

"What about school?"

"I told our teachers that we were going on a family trip and we weren't sure when we were going to be back."

"I can't belive he lives so close to her. How is all of this even working out so well?"

"He doesn't live close. He has to drive for like, an hour to get to school."

"Still, it's quite coinsedental that he and Callie live so close."

"Well most of us around here order from her father's company. I mean, it's a good location to live. They probably knew the area or something. Why do you even care?"

"Just being curious. Anyway, can we go to bed now? Tomorrow is the day and we have to get up extremely early. And no more phone calls past twelve."

"The same guy that I've been talking to is who we are staying with. He skipped school to discuss it, I'm going to talk to him as long as I want. Remember that there's a time difference. Now go to bed already."

I went to sleep thinking about what's going to happen throughout all of this.
