Gym was excruciating. Needless to say I didn't meet anyone new. Jimmy and me stayed on the sidelines while everyone played but we had to run laps for the duration of the class.

When the bell rang we ran out of that hell hole as fast as our legs would carry us and slammed right into Percy.

"What's the hurry guys? Is the big bad wolf after ya?" Percy said snickering at our dazed expressions.

"No but damn near close! I'd say they're worse than the big bad wolf!" I said loudly still trying to catch my breath.

"At least he didn't torture those pigs!" Jimmy said trying to catch his breath as well.

"I know right!" I said while laughing at Jimmy's joke.

"I see you and the little bird have gotten better acquainted." Percy said smirking.

"We're friends if that's what you mean." I said staring at my shoes.

"And what's wrong with me?" Jimmy said in a mock offended tone.

I giggled at the sight of him trying to act all offended but the smile was making him fail miserably. I started laughing even harder. He looked like some little puppy with his big green eyes. I wanted to hug him at that moment and I did. He stood there in utter shock, til I began to speak.

"Aw there's nothing wrong with you, Jimmy but we've just met I mean what kind of girl do you think I am?" I said in a soothing tone.

"I didn't mean it like that." Jimmy said trying to defend himself.

"Relax I know what you meant." I said smiling at Jimmy.

"Right then enough with all this love fest we've gotta be gettin' to our next class!" Percy said trying to understand the situation at hand.

"Well I've got Science next." I said now staring at my schedule. "How about you guys?" I said now looking up at the twosome.

"Well me and Percy have History." Jimmy said looking a little dazed.

"Yeah, that's right next Science down the hall." Percy said pointing in the direction of their destination.

"We'll walk ya, if ya like." Jimmy added.

"Sure lead the way boys." I said waiting for them to start walking so I could follow.

I waited patiently for a good five seconds before they moved. When they finally did Percy looped his arm into my arm and Jimmy did the same with the other one. This surprised but not as much as what happened next.

There is no knowledge of what triggered it but Percy began to skip and sing 'The Wizard Of Oz'. Who was I to judge I loved that movie so I went along with it, though as childish as it may be I didn't care, not one bit.

Jimmy must've come to the same conclusion for he started to skip and sing with us as well. We reached the end of the hallway and bid each other farewell. I watched as they crossed the hall to History, as they disappeared I turned around and walked into my classroom.

The walls were clean too clean like they've been scrubbed with bleach or freshly painted. The chairs were made of old metal twisted into odd shapes. You know the kind of uncomfortable metal you see in the old hospital shows, but at least it had a cushion to sit on.
