The Rebellious Diner (Michifer/Destiel/Sabriel)

Chapter 15

"Hey Dean." Sam said as he walked in the house from their 'adventure'

"We're in the kitchen!" Dean called back with a smile on his face that Sam swears he could hear.

Sam and Gabriel walk into the kitchen with the bag of different things while Sam is carrying pie.

"I didn't forget the pie this time." Sam smiled and put the pie on the counter.

Cas is jumping up and down wanting the chocolate-that Gabriel had in the bag-like a toddler. "Here Cas take whatever you want from this." Gabriel said with an amused look.

"Thank you." Cas said with a smile.

"How about some pie?" Dean asked, an open invitation to anyone who wants pie.

"Later Dean, how about we talk in private about something, okay?" Sam asked with a reassuring smile.

"Yea sure Sammy." Dean said with a concerned tone.

They walk into the living room. "What's up Sam?"

"Well I know that you just proposed but I was thinking about proposing to Gabriel soon." Sam whispered.

"That's great Sam, when are you planning on doing it?" Dean whispered back.

"About two months I have part of a plan on what I'm doing for it."

"What are you doing?"

"Well you know the park here in town?"

"Yea."

"Well I was planning on walking around the park and proposing by the mini waterfall at the end of the trail."

"Ooo, that's nice. What else are you going to do?"

"I don't know maybe I can take him to the Rebellious Diner first to eat, then we walk to the candy shop I buy him some candy and we walk to the park, go down the trail talk a little bit and I propose."

"That sounds good, but it's Gabriel and all that walking."

"Yeah, you're right but I can always give him a piggy back ride."

"True."

"So how does that sound?"

"Sounds good now can we get pie?"

"Yes Dean we can eat pie now."

"Yes!"

Before they went to get pie, Cas' and Gabe's conversation was.

"What's that about?" Cas asked.

"I don't know he did that earlier, with Michael."

"Oh, well what do you think it's about?"

"I don't know whatever it is Samsquatch will probably tell me later, I'm not worried about it."

"I suppose, that true he does tell you either right away or later depending on what the subject topic is."

"Yea, so are you excited?"

"About what?"

"The engagement."

"Yes, I mean I didn't want to push him knowing where he came from and knowing that he might've not been ready to be in the next chapter of our lives yet."

"So if he didn't propose would you have done it?"

"Yea, probably once he got better from his slump depressive mood when you and Sam ran off."

"Sorry about that we needed change of scenery."

"I understand that but why did you stop all contact?"

"I'm not completely sure." Gabriel said with shifty eyes.

"Gabriel, you understand, you know why tell me."

"We didn't want to come back to Sioux Falls we didn't want to have to deal with anyone here anymore we needed to get out of Sioux Falls."

"That doesn't tell me why Sam dropped all contact to Dean."

"It was more or less an accident then actually meaning to do it."

"What do you mean?"

"Well he broke his old phone, got a new one but forgot Dean's number and your number. Me on the other hand thought it was a good idea to not talk to you guys and my family for a while."

"A while?! It was two years!"

"Cas I know I'm sorry, just I didn't think it through."

"Wow Gabriel you have no idea how Dean felt."

"What happened?"

"He thought it was his fault, thinking he could've done better by helping Sam with whatever he needed, he was in a very severe depression state of mind where no matter what happened he was sad, or he was angry. It got to the point where I couldn't make him feel better anymore. Then one day he, I don't know came to his senses, understood that it wasn't his fault and started to be happy go lucky again, of course he would have those days where he was sad. Then he was being secretive and not wanting to talk to me, I thought about the worse until he started to actually talk to me more but there is that notebook he didn't want me to see. Then you guys stopped by, I'm assuming that you were heading to Sioux Falls when you guys pulled up."

"Yea we were going to go see Dean, you, and my family but we saw the impala which then we stopped knowing it was Dean's."

"Then he as you can see got better having Sam back."

"Once again I'm so sorry Cas."

"It's alright, Gabe he's back to normal and we're engaged."

"Did you guys set a date yet?"

"No not yet." Cas said with a little smile.

"So if you didn't do that today what did you do?"

"Well we were watching a documentary about bees, and we rearranged our bedroom and then we played hide and seek."

"Oh, okay then." Gabriel said with a shrug.

"Yea."

Sam and Dean walked into the kitchen after talking and they continued doing what they were doing.

Sam and Gabriel went for a walk in this wonderful evening weather. It was August there was some bitter cold wind but nothing that they couldn't handle. They walked all around enjoying the scenery when Gabriel didn't want to walk anymore.

"Saaaam."

"Whaaat?"

"Can you carry me?"

"I love you and all but you are lazy."

"All I heard was I love you and a yes."

"Fine." Sam said with a little faint smile.

Sam gave Gabriel a piggy back ride all the way home. Once they got there Dean had supper done and they ate. They decided on a movie night since Sam and Gabriel bought snacks too.

They watched Hot Fuzz for a change instead of a horror movie. They finished the movie and cleaned up as per usual and they retreated to their rooms. Dean and Cas fell asleep seeming instantly, while Sam and Gabriel stayed awake talking amongst themselves. After half an hour they fell asleep in each other's arms peacefully.
