The skeleton set me down on my recliner gently, stepping back and looking around. I took my hood down and moved my hair away from my neck to allow the cool air to reach my burning skin. I sniffled and coughed, my mask getting it the way of the coolness and making me feel like I was melting from the heat.

I couldn't stand the heat any longer and took off my mask, my bangs plastered over my right eye as I breathed heavily.

"...You don't seem to be doing as fine as you may think you are Sweetheart." He said as he wandered around my shelter a bit, looking slightly impressed with my handy work.

"This just hasn't been the best week, I'm usually much better...I still don't need any help." As I finished my sentence my stomach growled loudly.

He smirked "You were saying Sweetheart?" he mused as he glanced at me.

"Oh, hush you." I spat.
I began to sit up, with a bit of struggle.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Goin huntin." I replied.

He laid me back down and shook his head at me.

"You need to rest Sweetheart."

"No I don't. I need food."

"Yes you do, but you're not going to get any better by pushing your limits."

I knew he was right, I huffed in anger and rolled over to face away from him, he covered me with my black blanket before the sound of his footsteps filled the quiet room. As I closed my eyes, I finally realized just how tired I really was and the last thing I heard was the skele-mans voice saying "I'll be back tomorrow.". His words echoed in my head for a bit before sleep took over the rest of my conscious self. Falling into a deep dreamless sleep.
