Chara giggled as she looked at our surprise. She stepped closer and Sans stepped back, Papyrus was clearly clueless about how dangerous this child could be and I didn't care how tough she thought she was. I stepped closer to the little murderer and gave her a sickeningly sweet and heartless smile, staring her down in a way that made even her falter slightly.

"...You did it just because you could...didn't you?" I asked in a low voice that chilled the air.

"You know what I am and you ratted me out anyway you little-"

"THIS WAY GUYS! SHE LIVES OVER HERE" Undyne's voice could be heard from somewhere outside...Time was running out.

"Tick Tock" Said Chara with a giggle "They will catch you soon. Then you're game of hide and seek will be over. Boo-hoo!"

Damn kid I thought as I took a step back. Sans grabbed my wrist and growled "Not today kiddo." and with that he grabbed Papyrus and Scraps and the room was suddenly distorted. It felt like I was being squeezed as the room turned from distorted, to blue, to black and I closed my eyes for a moment before, Poof! We were somewhere else.

I looked around and the room started to tilt. Sans caught me of course and carried me up the stairs that were to the left and down the small hallway to what I guessed was his room. He layed me on his bed and put a blanket over me and mumbled "I'll bring you dinner in a while." after that he stood up and by instinct I grabbed his hand, not wanting him to leave yet. He looked at me and when I processed what I did I let go of him looking away and saying "Thank you Sans...I owe you big time for all this." He smiled slightly and said in a joking manner "Yeah, you owe me a ton...A Skele-TON." I laughed slightly at his pun and he walked out of the room.

(Time skip cause ya fell asleep)

"HUMAN!" Papyrus called as he entered the room, startling the heck out of me. "I BROUGHT YOU SOME SOUP TO EAT AND A COMIC BOOK TO READ!" I looked at him and gave him a smile.

"Thank you Papyrus. I appreciate it." He handed me the soup and set the comic next to me.

"NO PROBLEM J.D! SANS ALSO MADE ME PROMISE NOT TO TELL ANYONE IN THE ROYAL GUARD THAT YOU ARE HERE. SO YOU ARE COMPLETELY SAFE WITH US!"

"Where is Sans by the way?"

"HE WENT TO GRILLBY'S."

"Okay, who's Grillby?"

"SANS'S FRIEND WHO OWNS A BAR N' GRILL"

"Oooh, okay then."

There was a moment of silence before Papyrus hesitantly asked "J.D...E-EARLIER YOU SAID TO THE SCARY HUMAN 'YOU KNOW WHAT I AM'...D-DOES THAT MEAN YOU'RE NOT HUMAN?"

"...Yes...It does."

"T-THEN MAYBE WE COULD TELL EVERYONE THAT YOU'RE NOT HUMAN AND WE COULD ALL BE FRIENDS!"

"No. That wouldn't work Papyrus."

Papyrus was now confused and I continued getting slightly louder. "Humans don't accept my kind...Not even monsters accept my kind."

"WELL WHAT ARE YOU?"

"It's not important what I am!"

"BUT-"

"I'm not going to tell you Papyrus! Maybe someday but not now."

Papyrus looked kinda sad as he left the room, passing Sans on his way out. I sighed, feeling kinda bad for yelling at him. I laid back and growled to myself in frustration. "Papyrus is to innocent and naive for this damn world!" Sans sat next to me, setting down the brown paper bag and saying "He sure is. What were you two talking about?"

"Me being friends with the monsters."

"And let me guess. You don't want to be friends with our kind?"

I sat up and shook my head "No,no,no, nothing like that. Your kind doesn't like my kind!"

I looked at him and he looked slightly confused like Papyrus was. I sighed.

"I can't tell you guys what I am, but don't treat me like a human. I may look like one, but I'm far from being one."

Sans looked back at me and gave me a lazy smile "Sure thing J.D."

"C-call me (Y/n)...Please."

Sans's smile grew wider and more genuine.

"Of course...(Y/n)" Sans got up and left. Something about him saying my real name, felt right. Like the horrible world outside just got a little nicer. I finish my soup and save the burger and fries in the brown paper bag for tomorrow morning, falling into a refreshing and dreamless sleep.
