There was a tense silence for a moment as Coyote and the flamboyant robot Mettaton glared at each other. Mettaton gestured toward me and I flinched slightly to which Mettaton grinned, still keeping his gaze on Coyote.
"And what about your little friend here?~" Mettaton grabbed a lock of my hair and messed with it a bit as he continued "She looks exactly like a human in disguise to me..."
Mettaton turned his gaze to me pulling my hair to bring my face closer to his. "I wonder what you look like under that mask of yours, Darling.~" Mettaton cooed threateningly, bringing his metal finger to the bottom of my mask.
"Touch that mask and I will kill you where you stand you piece of trash!" Coyote growled. It was clear to me that Coyote was extremely angry and I was mortified, being stuck in between him and Mettaton who kept his grip on my hair. Mettaton ignored Coyote and hummed in thought.
"Let her go now or else." Coyote growled and the robot grinned widely. "You know what? I think I want to keep her, alive of course, but she belongs to me now." With that said, Mettaton let go of my hair and picked me up by the waist, putting me over his shoulder. Just then, I was pulled straight off Mettaton's shoulders and into a boney embrace. I looked up and saw the face of a very pissed off G Sans. His eye glowed it's golden yellow as Mettaton turned around half way in surprise.
"Oh dear! G, may I have my pet back? I seem to have dropped her." Mettaton smiled, reaching for me as sans brought me even closer to himself.
"This one is mine." Sans growled. "Now get out."
"Oh but Sansy-" Mettaton was silenced as Coyote pulled at the two ends of his cane, revealing it to have been a secret sword to which he held the blade close to Mettaton's throat as he growled "Leave or else I'll cut you up into nothing but razor blades."
Mettaton glared at the three of us and huffed in defeat. He resumed his fabulously flamboyant facade as he pushed past Coyote on his way down the stairs. Papyrus, whom had been watching helplessly from the bottom step, bounded to the door and opened it for Mettaton. Mettaton smiled at Papyrus and kissed his boney cheek, causing Papyrus to blush before he turned to us and called out "Don't think that this is over Darlings!~ I will get the girl for my pet sooner or later! Ciao!~" And with that, he strode out of the house with a grin, Papyrus closing the door behind him.
Sans stared at the door, still keeping me close as Coyote sheathed his blade. I didn't move from Sans's arms as I stood, trying to process all of what just happened.
Papyrus broke the silence with a strained cheeriness "I SHALL START MAKING BREAKFAST! FRIEND OF J.D, WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP ME?"
"Sure. It would be a pleasure to help." Coyote made his way down the stairs and Sans released his grip on me, his cheek bones tinted a golden yellow.
"...Be glad that I hate that gay toaster." Sans said as I looked up at him. I would ask him why he hated Mettaton, but at this point I was done with today. I really need a nap...But of course, as soon as I thought about it, Papyrus bounded straight up to me, picked me up and carried me over his shoulder to the table for a big breakfast. Sans following behind us. Breakfast was...tense... Sans was glaring at Coyote occasionally and me and Papyrus talked about weather, hobbies and other stuff to lighten the mood after the busy morning...
"Well I should leave. I have other things to worry about right now." Stated Coyote to which I tilted my head and asked "Like what?"
"Oh just a few things I need to do so that what happened today doesn't ever happen again."
"Oh, have fun training then Yote." I said with a shrug. Not many guys took his threats seriously since compared to most men, he's always been a bit shorter, so whenever someone would underestimate him Coyote would either kill 'em or go somewhere to train. I've always thought that this was a childish way to deal with it but I'd never say such a thing to him out loud...mostly because I can act just as childish sometimes.
As Coyote left Sans disappeared into his room, so it was just me and Papyrus in the kitchen, cleaning up from breakfast.
As I did the dishes I absent mindedly started to hum the tune of a song called The Hanging Tree, not realizing that Papyrus was listening intently to my hum as he dried and put away the dishes. After a while, he learned the tune and humed along with me until the kitchen was spotless. Papyrus gave a harty "NYEH HEH HEH, A SPOTLESS VICTORY FOR THE GREAT PAPYRUS AND HIS ACOMPLESS J.D!" and smiled at me before bounding happily into the livingroom.
After a good ten minutes or so of spacing out in the kitchen, I walked quietly past Papyrus and into the room that he and G Sans had put together for me, flopping onto the bed and slipping into sleep almost instantly
