It had been a week after I had seen Coyote when there was a knock on the door. I was home alone watching some old cartoons about a little demon with an angel girlfriend and a big wolf friend while Sans and Papyrus were at work till 9 PM. I sighed and rolled myself lazily off the couch and put on my mask before opening the door, just in case it was a monster, only to see my old friend at the door, with a smile on his face and a black rose in hand he greeted me.

"Hello (Y/N), would you care to follow me off to a place of equal beauty to yours?" I blushed lightly and tossed my mask onto the couch as I opened the door a bit more and gestured for him to come in.

"Thank you, now I would recommend grabbing your mask before we left because it is public and I'd hate to see you get hurt." He said as he stepped inside, closing the door behind him. In response I hummed in amusement, heading to the kitchen for a snack and saying over my shoulder at him.

"Me? Get hurt? Are you sure that's possible?" As soon as I finish my sentence though, I stub my toe on the corner of the counter.

"As evident, yes you can get hurt, so please do not forget it."

As I grumbled to myself, Scraps jumps off the couch and scampers up to Coyote, 'investigating him'.

"Hello my little feline friend." Coyote said, bending to pet Scraps and setting the black rose on the couch. After a while I come out of the kitchen with a can of tomato sauce since that's all I could find at the moment in way of food "Could you open this for me Yote?" Hands him the can.

"Of course, anything you wish for my dear." he then pushes a small bit of the lid in, creating a hole with his thumb and pulls it all off from the hole he made.An old clock that hung by the stairs began to chime, telling us that it was exactly 3'o clock in the afternoon. Coyote glanced at the clock before looking down at me and saying.

"Ready to go my dear?" I chugged the tomato sauce and answered as I crushed the can "Where are we going to go?"

"It's, a surprise, so do not worry Madam."

"Madam?" I repeated. "You need not be so formal, dear friend, it has been a long long time since people have spoken in such a way." Out of habit I begin to speak the same way as we used to without realizing it.

"Well then shall we go"

I shrug slightly grabbing a pen and paper and scribbling down the words 'Went for a walk, be back soon.' before tossing the note on the couch and stuffing the pen in my pocket. I put on my mask and my black jacket, tucking my hair in and pulling up my hood before in a sarcastic and dramatic tone asking Coyote "How do I look?"

"As beautiful as ever darling, now grab onto me."

I tilt my head slightly but do as he said, grabbing onto his arm tightly and glancing up at him.

"Tighter, dear." he pulls me closer into his chest as he taps the floor with his cane.

We appear at a circus and he loosens his hold on me, letting me look around as he said "Here we are my dear."

I looked around in awe, circling around him in a childish excitement as I look at everything. "Wooow" I said in a whisper of amazement "Where are we? This place is so cool!"

"A circus my dear, now just be careful not to take your mask off." He then removes his suit jacket, uncovering tears in his suit while also uncovering his rotting body. His left arm has wounds down to the bone while his right is missing most skin revealing muscle tissue. I stared at him for a long moment, making sure what I was seeing was correct.

"What's the problem darling? Never seen a mangled body before?"

"I have...but to inhabit it without healing? Why?"

"I was in a rush to get a new one, after I died I was casted out from our home so I found a new body before I grew too weak."

"How'd you manage to do that?" I look up at him confused and slightly impressed.

"Well what happened is I may or may not have accidentally blown up your house during the war and killed several war generals."

"How did you accidentally blow up my house??"

"That's not important right now, what is important is that you enjoy yourself here while you still can madam."

"Well alright then Sir."

Clowns, acrobats, trained animals, trapeze acts, musicians, dancers, hoopers, tightrope walkers, jugglers, magicians, unicyclists, as well as other object manipulation and stunt-oriented artists were all around, most just practicing for the big show and others doing a show of their own. No matter where you looked, something different and interesting was taking place. The food was extremely cheap (10 dollars gets you a bit of everything kind of cheap) and Coyote was so kind and thoughtful of me, not in the way he usually would be, but in a much sweeter way. It was 4 o'clock by the time we had stopped to get something to eat. We sat on a bench and talked as we ate. We were both occasionally glancing at each other's food and I was sure we were both thinking the same thing but he beat me to the punch in asking "May I have a small taste of your food my dear?"

"Oh, sure." I said while slightly spacing off. I lifted a spoonful of my ice cream to his lips and told him to say 'ah'. He slightly laughed when I told him to say 'ah' and I blushed a bit in embarrassment. He then asked me if I wanted some of his food too which I of course said yes to, how could I say no to Ramen?

"Be careful my dear it's hot." He warned, but I had already taken the bite and burned my tongue. It was good though so after swallowing I instantly stuck my poor tongue into my ice cream to sooth the burn.

"See I warned you my dear." He said as he pushed some of my hair back "Such lovely hair you have by the way." he gave me a very sweet smile.

"You should 'ave warned meh sooner!" I said, my tongue still in my ice cream. He chuckled slightly. "I guess I should have, well then I apologize for not doing so sooner." I smile at him and hum happily. After a while of more talking Coyote looked at his watch.

"It's time we take our leave darling, I hope you enjoyed this time with me." He hugs me and then suddenly, I am at the house again and Coyote is gone. Leaving me with Scraps on the couch and the black rose in my hand.
