today's the day, aaron thought. he was really looking forward to today. he's meeting the mysterious girl which he just so happens to be in love with.
it was just like any other sunday to him. he woke up at 9 am, scrolled down his phone, ate breakfast while continously watching star wars on his phone, nothing interesting ever happened in sunday. but today, it was changed. he felt overly excited, yet overly nervous.
he stepped into the bathroom, got a quick yet clean rinse. he was really confused on the outfit. he considered this a date, which was not.
after some time, he finally picked out an outfit. a black shirt, ragged jeans, and those usual converse which he always wears. good job, he said, under his breath.
he grabbed his phone, and looked at the time. it says 10:54 am. shit. he stormed downstairs, grabbed his keys, and went straight to his car. thankfully, the cafe is only a 7 minute driveway.
he parked his car in his usual spot. yet he didn't went outside, he stayed in. he was nervous. he doesn't know what to say, what to do, he was flustered. you know what? fuck it. he ordered a boba milk tea and waited for his order while standing.
wait. who's that? he thought. she looked familiar. she was wearing a white shirt, black ripped skinny jeans, ragged denim jacket, and dirty white nike air force ones.
"mallory?" he asked. the girl looked like the 'girl-who-got-disturbed-when-she-is-daydreaming' type of girl.
"aaron, right?" she asked. she was, comely. the way her dark brown eyes stutter. the way her hair flows every time she plays with it. she was stuttering a bit. gosh, am i that creepy?
"yeah. can i sit with you?" he asked without any hesitation. "s-sure," she replied. guess i am that creepy.
he took his drink and sat down. the seat was comfortable, so that kind of helped the awkward situation. "so, um," he said. he didn't knew what to say. "uh, yeah. so, um, what are you doing here?" she said quietly. "oh nothing, just um, chillaxing, i guess? i was bored staying at home, everyone left, i'm home alone." what a great way to start a conversation, aaron. "oh, um, that's great," she said. she decided to leave. where's 'm' anyway?
"i'm gonna go now, bye." she stood up and walked away.
as she stepped on the short ladder outside, out of the blue, he sprinted outside to look for mallory, only to find her nowhere there. he went to his car, and drove back to his house.
some time went by, and he finally arrived. he lied on the floor, too crestfallen to be walking to his room, which was on the third floor.
it can't be her. how is it her? how? why? when? how could i never knew it was her? am i that dumb? what the fuck, how?
he was frustrated, flustered. he was out in the state of oblivion. he couldn't believe what his brain had processed. she was quixotic, he thought. she was surreptitious. all of this was too nebulous for him to realize what was happening.
