"Thank you." Austin said as he turned to face me after he started his car.

"No I should be thanking you for rescuing me." I said sincerely.

"Don't apologize, I'm the reason you're in this mess. If anything I should be apologizing to you. But I'll explain everything to you once we're back at my house."

"Okay. How far away from our neighborhood are we?"

"An hour at least, do you need anything? I can stop somewhere, I don't mind."

He sounded genuinely concerned for my well-being. I was completely taken aback. I had never seen this side of Austin Mahone. The Austin I knew was cocky, arrogant, and overall just a dick. But this Austin was someone totally different.

"I don't need anything." I replied.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm fine really." I tried to sound more reassuring this time.

"Okay if you say so."

The rest of the ride was pretty quiet. At first I didn't recognize a single thing, but due to Austin's fast driving I started to see familiar buildings in no time. I stared out the window most of the ride. Once in a while I would glance over at Austin. He drove with a serious look on his face. I could tell he was uneasy, something seemed to be eating him up inside.

"We're here." He said as he pulled into his driveway and parked.

I let myself out of his car and followed him into his house through the front door. His house was quiet and there wasn't a single light on. Austin began to climb the stairs that I knew would lead to his room. I followed instinctively, once inside he shut his bedroom door behind me.

He went over to his closet and rummaged around for a minute. In the meantime I went and sat down on his bed. I had only been in his room once before but for whatever reason I felt comfortable being there. Despite my previous feelings toward Austin, I knew he would keep me safe. He had asked me here for a reason and I intended to find out what that reason was.

Austin emerged from his closet with a one of his sweatshirts and a pair of yoga shorts that still had the tag on them. "Here, I figure you want to change your clothes. You've been in the same ones for two days now." He threw them towards me, "the bathroom is just down the hall first door on the right. You can change there if you'd like."

I took the clothes and went out to the bathroom and changed into them. I found it odd that he had a pair of yoga shorts, but since they still had the tag on them from Victoria's Secret I figured they were probably meant to be a gift for one of the girls he had been involved with. Once I was finished I returned to Austin's room. He had changed his clothes too. He had taken his beanie off and his brown curly hair was sticking up. He was shirtless and had on a pair of black and gold shorts. I had to admit, he looked rather attractive.

I threw the clothes I had been wearing in a corner of Austin's room and then went and sat next to him on his bed. He turned to me and asked,

"What do you want to know? I'll tell you anything."

"I don't even know where to begin. I have so many questions."

"Ask away. I owe you the truth."

I began to rattle off the series of questions I had for Austin. He told me everything without withholding a single detail from me. He had lost his way when things had gotten rough at home. Austin started hanging out with the wrong crowd of people which ended up leading him to JJ. At first Austin embraced JJ's lifestyle and he even looked up to him. But as time went on he destroyed the relationships he had with some of the most important people in his life: his mom and his best friends. He grew sick of JJ and he knew he needed out. He needed to get his life back together.
