Chapter Three

Tifa was still singing the song a while after I stopped the music. Then she stopped at a door that had a golden name-plate that read: SQUALL LEONHART AND FUJIN

"I think you should meet Squall," she smiled, then she knocked on the door.

"WHAT?" a girl's voice called.

"Is Squall in there?" Tifa called back.

"AFFIRMATIVE," the other girl's voiced replied.

"Can he come out, please?"

"LEAVE."

"Shut up, Fujin," a guy's voice replied. "Tifa."

"Yeah, it's Tifa. And someone else."

Then someone opened the door. He had brown hair, blue eyes, and he wore a leather jacket with fur around the collar over a gray shirt, an epic belt, black pants, and black boots. Also, he had a scar down his face.

"Squall," Tifa said, "this is-"

"I'm Rayna Stone," I smiled.

"Hey," he replied. "Squall Leonhart."

I nodded. There was nothing left to say.

"Okay," Tifa said after a few minutes of silence, "we should get a move on. See you, Squall."

He waved us off, then walked back into his room.

We walked turned into another hallway, and she stopped at the nearest door.

AERIS GAINSBOROUGH AND RAIJIN, the golden name-plate read. Tifa knocked on the door.

"Yeah?" a guy's voice called.

"Is Aeris in there?" Tifa called.

"Nuh-uh! She's out in the flowerbed, ya know."

"I know now. See you later."

Tifa lead me to a staircase, and we both hurried down it. Then she pointed out rooms as we walked through one of those major hallways. Classrooms such as "the science classroom", "the gym", and "the music room". Finally, we reached the doors that lead out to the Garden's... (haha) garden. There were so many beautiful flowers growing everywhere, plus a cherry blossom tree, a dogwood tree, and a flowering apple tree. And sitting on a bench in the middle of the flowerbed, reading a book, was a beautiful young girl with long red hair tied into a braid with a pink bow, a long pink dress with a magenta bolero jacket, and combat boots on her feet.

Combat boots are popular here, I told myself, just like Sperry's back home.

"Hey, Aeris," Tifa smiled. The girl looked up.

"Oh," her soft voice said. "Hi Tifa. Who's that?"

"I'm Rayna Stone," I said kindly.

"Rayna..." Aeris replied, "what a wonderful name. Doesn't it mean 'queen'?"

"Yeah," I replied smiling.

"Ah..."

"Hey, Tifa!" a male's voice cried.

"Oh, no," Tifa sighed. "Hey, Seifer."

I turned around to see a guy with blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and wearing a blue shirt under a white lab coat thingy. On his legs and feet he wore tan pants and boots.

Wait, scratch that comment on combat boots, I laughed to myself, all boots are popular here.

"Are you busy tonight?"

"Yes."

"Too busy to see me-"

"Try to kill Squall? Yes. I saw what happened that other night! I saw that huge scar you left across his face!"

"He did it to me, too!"

"Oh, who cares about you?" Tifa bellowed, defending Squall. "Squall is actually... well... a. Good. Person. You're just a short-tempered bastard who thinks he's better then the rest. And by the way, you'll never make me part of you're posse."

She stormed away angrily, a pissed off Seifer at her heels. I looked back at Aeris, who was reading a book again. What book was that? I looked at the cover and, without reading that title, I could tell she was reading "The Hunger Games". She sucked in a breath. Where was she; at Rue's death?

"What chapter are you on?" I asked her.

"Oh, I just read the part where Primrose was chosen to go into the Games and her sister volenteered to go instead," Aeris smiled.

"Oh," I replied. We both talked about the "Games" more, then I left.

As I walked down the hall to get back into my room, I got a text. I lifted up my phone to see who it was. It was Brooklyn.

Brook S.: How's the new school?

Ray S.: It has a lot of nice people in it. (R)

Brook S.: Are there any hot guys?

Rayna S.: You could say that. (R)

Brook S.: Name a boy.

Rayna S.: There's Cloud Strife, my roommate. (R)

Brook S.: Your roommate is a GUY!?

Rayna S.: Yeah. What's the problem with that? (R)

Brook S.: nvm. I g2g.

Rayna S.: Kk. Skype you later. (R)

Brook S.: Bye

I was about to respond, but I ended up writing "Byrrttt" when I ran into someone in the hallway. I literally ran into him.

"What the hell!?" he cried. "Watch it!"

"Sorry!" I apologized. I looked away from my phone and at the person I ran into. He had blue eyes and blind hair, and wore a black vest with red designing along the zipper, black beater, baggy jean shorts, and black and red tennis shoes. He wore gloves on his hands, and he had a tattoo on his face. He looked at me.

"Woah," he said, "new girl! My name's Zell Dincht." He stuck out his glove covered hand.

"Hi," I smiled, shaking his hand, "I'm Rayna Stone."

There are so many people to meet at this school! I thought. How many are left.

"Hey!" a girl's voice voice called out, interrupting my train of thought. I turned around.

"I'm Rinoa," the girl said. She wore a blue rib-knit sleeveless sweater that had white angel wings imprinted on the back, a jean skirt, a necklace, and white shoes, and had brown shoulder-length hair and chocolate brown eyes. "Welcome to the Garden!"
