Chapter Eleven
Cloud's Point of View
I woke up again, but this time I was getting out of the bed. I had to tell Tifa it wasn't her fault.
The pain had returned, so when I tried to sit up, it jolted unbareable pain through my body, so I laid back down.
Tifa wasn't the only reason I wanted to get up. I was wasting time; I had a lot of things I had to do. The SeeD exam was coming up, and I still needed a Gardian Force (GF). I was going to get out of this bed, and pain wasn't going to stop me.
I only had one choice. It was a stupid idea, but I was going to do it anyway. I began actually rolling myself out of the bed. I gritted my teeth in pain as I did so, but I wasn't going to stop. Then I made some stupid mistake and fell out of the bed.
Well, at least I'm out of the bed, I thought, trying to push all the pain from my mind.
I stood up, and began walking slowly to the door. Every step hurt more then the last.
I'm tired of the freaking pain! I wanted to scream when the pain got once again unbareable, but instead, I cried out and collapsed.
"What's going on in there?" an unfamiliar voice called, then I heard for pairs of footsteps run into the room.
"Cloud!" Aeris gasped, rushing over to me with Tifa at her heals.
"What the hell?" Rayna asked. "You should still be resting! If I were you, I wouldn't be alive let alone walking!"
"Rayna's right," Aeris agreed, "there's something about you... if you were normal, you'd be dead."
Normal? What was she saying?
"Cloud," the unfamiliar voice said, "who's your instructor?"
I looked up. The voice belonged to a doctor. She wore a one of those white coats doctors wear over a green shirt and she wore tan pants.
"Quitsis," Tifa answered before I had a chance.
"Hm," the doctor said frigidly, "it's always Quitsis' students, huh. Okay, I think you'll be able to return to tomorrow."
"Oh, good," Tifa sighed. "The SeeD exam is in two days. Headmaster Cid moved it so Cloud could heal, but he said if Cloud didn't heal by then, Cloud wouldn't be able to take the exam until the one after that."
"Well," the doctor said, "he'll be fine by then. But you need to stay here, Cloud, until tomorrow."
"...Fine," I said.
---------------------------------------------
Hey! Short chapter this time, but I really wanted to move on. Cloud, Squall, and Rayna need GFs still *sigh*. Cloud is going to go as soon as he recovers, and Rayna and Squall are going to the day of the exam. Oh, yeah! The exam will be Final Fantasy VIII's turn for the spotlight (I guess) 'cause the last few chapters were VII. So yeah. ;)
So many scary things are happening to me right now. I woke up yesterday morning and my four-year old brother was watching ENGLISH-DUBBED ANIME!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT KINDS OF CURSE WORDS HE COULD LEARN FROM THAT!? ENOUGH TO GET ME BANNED FROM ANIME Dx!!!
And then, my password for the website wouldn't work for a while, then when I was able to get back on, none of my stories were there! I was afraid something happened that deleted all my progress. So I read "Never Going to Sleep" by MissHorrorStory for a little while, then I checked back in on my stories and everything was OK. So yeah.
