Chapter 27

I'm so so sorry for this late update! Can you forgive me?

Connor's P.O.V.
After we filmed the video, Kian disappeared into his bedroom with the camera to edit the footage into a decent video. An impossible job. He came down about an hour later with such a happy face, that you'd think his smile wouldn't fit on his anymore, but he managed. "It's finally finished!" He exclaimed.

We sat down to watch the video. Everyone was very happy with the result, though I could sense that Sam wasn't truthful about what he said. I decided to confront him about it. "Sam? Be real. What do you think?" I ask him. His head snaps towards me. "What do you mean?" He asks me. "You're lying. I know you are lying about the video." I explain. He huffs. "The video is great." He lies again and also the tone of his voice gives him away too.

"What's going on Sam? Why don't you like the video?" Kian asks him. He is lightly upset that Sam is not okay with the video, while he tried everything and did everything to make it into an okay video. "Look at Connor! He's faking the whole thing." He says pointing towards video me on the screen. "That's it? That's what you're upset about?" I ask him. I'm slightly angry he noticed, because the others obviously hadn't and I'm certainly going to defend myself in the hope the others won't believe Sam.

"Look at you! Your smile is so obviously fake!" We all look back at the screen and indeed, the smile is fake. Everyone would be able to see it. "It's not true." I made the biggest mistake. I denied and lied. Everyone knows I'm lying. Sam stood up and ran out of the room. I don't want to look anyone in the eyes right now, so I lower my head in shame. Kian sighs and follows Sam.

We were hoping to have one day. One day without this drama. Was that too much to ask for? No one has really been happy lately. They all deserve to be happy.

Kian's P.O.V.
I heard a door slam shut and I actually heard the lock being turned. I sigh again. I'm going to pull every string to get him to open that door. I got up the stairs and knew he had entered Connor's room. I just hope he's not going to hurt himself in there. I heard a soft voice behind me. "Is he in my room?" I look at Connor. The tears are already all over his cheeks and he looks very distraught. I hug him tight. "It will be okay." I promise him, but his sobs only get louder. "When? When will it be okay? We've waited for so long and nothing is getting better. Everything is only getting worse." He manages to speak through his loud sobs.

"Come on. Let's just try to get him to open that door. Are there things in your room he can hurt himself with?" I ask him. He shyly nods. I pull my hand through my hair, knowing Sam could, don't miss the could, be hurting himself. Maybe even killing himself. I don't even want to think about it.

Ricky had heard Connor's answer too and was already trying to open up the door. Jc handed him the key we can open his door with. We have all the keys in case of an emergency. I think this counts as an emergency. He's not going to open that door anyways. And there is still an attached bathroom he could be in.

We enter the room and find Sam under the covers in Connor's bed. His body is shaking, indicating he is crying, and turned away from us. Connor is too upset to do anything and is only making Sam's crying worse. Troye grabs Connor's arm and gently tugs him out of the room. Jc walks over to the bed and sits down on it. "It will be okay." Déjà vu back to when I was in the hallway with Connor. I shake my head and get back to the now. The sad reality where two of my best friends want to die.

Ricky, Tyler and I let Jc handle this for now. We get down to see Connor and Troye hugging. "I just want this to stop. I want to be happy. I want Sam to be happy. And you guys to be happy." And I literally felt my heart break. His sobs are loud and I mend myself into the hug.
