Fluff Warning

I was woken by Gerard shaking me gently and saying we had to leave, he sounded worried, but I just groaned, and tried to nuzzle into him more. That's when I heard it. The laugh that I would be able to recognize anywhere. Troy's laugh. I sat up faster than I intended and almost hit my head on the pole we were next to. I was immediately overcome with fear. I looked at Gerard and could that that he sensed it because he put a protective arm around me, and helped me stand, not letting go of me. "Oh look guys, gay boy has a little boyfriend" Keith said laughing. I felt Gerard's grip on my arm tighten. "Gerard let's just go, they aren't worth it" I whispered a little too loudly. "What the fuck did you just say Frankie boy?" Troy asked stepping about two feet away from me. "Did you just say we aren't worth it? Let me tell you princess we actually have something to live for. It's YOU that isn't worth it. You are worth nothing. You will always be nothing. You're just a worthless, useless, unloved piece of dog shit. In fact, a piece of dog shit is more important than you will ever be. You might as well just kill yourself, no one will care. Not your mommy or your precious little sister." I felt the tears running down my face as he spit at me, and completely lost in myself, I spit right back at him, landing it directly beneath his left ear. I instantly realized the mistake I had made, and he whipped around, giving me the you-have-half-a-second-to-run look, and came at me. Gerard threw me behind him as his other fist connected with Troy's nose. "You are the piece of shit, and Frank is worth more than the three of you combined. You say he is unloved and unimportant? Well guess what he's important to me, and I'm pretty sure he is the closest thing to perfect that I have ever seen so you all can shut the fuck up and leave. And if I ever catch you saying or doing anything that is hurting him, I swear it will be the last thing you ever do." He yelled, his grip on my arm tightening even more. His hand was directly on my wrist, and was squeezing fresh wounds. I winced in pain, and he noticed. His grip loosened, and he pulled me closer to him as he led me with him to the parking lot, the guys laughing the whole time. He opened the passenger door to his black car and helped me in, then walked around and got into the driver's side. I watched him as he drove out of the parking lot, and onto the highway. "Did you really mean that?" I asked quietly. "That you think I'm important?" all he did was sigh, and speed up, turning onto a side road with no other cars. I took that as a no, and leaned back into the seat, looking out the window. All of a sudden the car came to an immediate stop, and I turned to look at Gerard. As soon as I turned my head he was inches from my face, looking directly into my eyes. "Every. Single. Word." He whispered, and before I had time to react his lips were on mine. I was surprised, and didn't kiss back. He pulled away, looking terrified, his face still very close to mine. "I am so sorry I-I don't know what came over me, I couldn't-" I cut him off by pulling him back and kissing him. He was surprised at first, but then he leaned closer to me, deepening the kiss. He ran his fingers through my hair, and I grabbed the back of his shirt. His hands traveled up and down my back, and our breathing became heavy. We were interrupted by the sound of Gerard's phone ringing. He softly laughed, and so did I, then he answered the call. "Hello? Oh shit really wait what the- sorry I lost track of time I will be right there" he said, and as soon as the call ended he burst out laughing. "What's so funny" I asked smiling. "I drive Mikey and Ray home after school" he said still giggling, and pointed at the time. School lets out at 3:00 and it was 4:37. I started to laugh which caused Gerard to get into another fit of laughing. By 4:50 we had calmed down, and were on our way back to the school. "Oh shit my sister" I said as we pulled up. "Were you supposed to get her from somewhere?" Gerard asked. "No it's just that she's probably freaking out since I wasn't on the bus" I said. He suddenly got really quiet. "Are you okay?" I asked him. We were stopped on the side of the road leading to the parking lot of the school, and he looked up at me with tears in his eyes. "Show me your arm." He said gently. "What?" I looked at him, feeling nervous throughout my entire body. "I saw you flinch when I grabbed your wrist earlier. Show me how bad it is." He said with a tear rolling down his cheek. "I don't want you to hurt. I can tell that you are broken and I want to help you. I want to hold you and never let you go because I can see how much you are hurting, and I don't want you to feel alone anymore." And with that I felt my eyes tear up, and I gave him my arm, looking away. I felt him roll up my sleeve, revealing several deep cuts from the previous night, and I felt his lips touching them, and he kissed the scars that were covering my arm. He pulled me into a tight embrace, and whispered into my ear, "Frank don't you ever fucking do this to yourself again, please. You are stronger than this I believe in you. You are beautiful. A-a-and I'm pretty fucking sure that I've fallen in love with you." I began bawling like a baby, and he held me with one arm and drove the rest of the way down the street and stopped in front of the school and Mikey and Ray walked out. I quickly tried calm myself and wiped away my tears. Gerard hugged me tighter as they got into the back seats of the car. "Hey are you okay?" Ray asked, looking concerned. "Yeah I'm fine" I said, and gave him the best smile I could manage. "He's just a little frazzled because of what happened today" Gerard said saving me from having to talk about it. The drive to Ray's house was silent, and as was the drive to Gerard and Mikey's. As we pulled up in front of their house, Mikey asked if I was staying as he was getting out. "Nah, my sister is probably having a freak out at my house; not knowing where I am makes her nervous." I said. "Alright, well, have a nice night, it was great meeting you" he said, and closed the door. I told Gerard where to go, and he held my hand the entire drive to my house. He stopped in front of my house, and looked into my eyes. "Are you going to be okay tonight" he asked. I looked directly back into his eyes. "I'm not sure..." I said. "What's wrong? Is there anything I can do to help you?" I squeezed his hand, and sighed. "Well if you know how to get someone undrunk then yes." He looked nervous. "My dad left my mom four months ago and I don't think that she has been sober one single day since then, and she believes from the bottom of her heart that it's my fault that he left." He pulled me into a hug, and I felt so safe and so secure. I didn't want the feeling to ever end. "Gerard?" I whispered. "Yes?" he said, softly stroking my hair. "Do you think that, I mean this probably sounds stupid but do you think that you could stay over tonight?" he hugged me tighter. "Of course I can" he replied quietly. I had only known him for one day, but it felt as if we had been together our entire lives. "One make out session doesn't mean you're together you moron, stop thinking so highly of yourself before you get hurt" my subconscious growled at me. "Come on, let's get you inside" Gerard said, breaking my thoughts before they could get any harsher. "Ok, but let me warn you, my little sister is probably going to be really heated and she is most likely going to ask you a lot of questions" I said laughing. We got out of the car and walked to the front door, taking a deep breath, I opened the door. "Where the hell have you been do you know how worried I was when you didn't get on the bus?!"

"Well hello to you too" I laughed. "This is Gerard, and I've been with him, I'm okay, trust me" she looked me up and down and then glared at Gerard. "Who are you how did you meet and how do you know each other?" I cut in, "We met this morning. Before school, he was talking about a band and I walked over and said how I love them and we just kind of bonded" She eyed me suspiciously. "Frank if I know anything about you it's that you never talk to people. Never in your life have you just started a conversation with a random person just because you like the same music as them, and you have always managed to wiggle your way out of every single small talk awkward way to pass the time conversation that you have ever been involved in. Now tell me the truth because we both know damn well that you are lying." She never failed to impress me with her maturity. I took a deep breath, looked at Gerard, and then back at Casey. "Okay, okay, you might want to sit down for this." She tapped her foot. "Alright so you remember Troy, Keith, and Randy?" I asked her. "Yes.... wait are they bothering you again I swear to god I will break off every single one of their fingers." She practically yelled it. Bad idea. She immediately realized she had made a mistake and covered her mouth. You could practically feel the tension in the air. Gerard looked confused as to why we got so quiet, and started to say something. I cut him off before he could get one word out. "Don't say a word and when I grab your hand, follow me as fast as you can." I whispered. We waited for about thirty seconds that felt like thirty minutes. Then we heard it. Heavy footsteps and a loud yell came from the kitchen. I was instantly relieved that she was there instead of the living room. Her being in the kitchen gave us just enough time, and I grabbed Gerard's hand and quickly lead him upstairs and into the bathroom. "Stay here." I said, and took a deep breath before walking out, closing the door behind me, and walking downstairs to my mom and sister yelling at each other.
