Ryker couldn't put her finger on it, but something about Liam struck her as odd. She could have sworn that he hadn't been here the whole time, but he claimed that he had been here for a month. Ryker kept her lips shut and listened to him talk about the reasons why he was in here, but her thoughts kept drifting in and out, not fully comprehending the words that he was saying. "So, why are you here?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow questioningly. Ryker got a sudden feeling to not tell this guy the real reason why she was in here. She wasn't sure if it was Harry's doing or her natural intellect that told her otherwise, but she decided to follow through with it and not say a peep about her guardian angel that she hadn't seen or heard from in a day. Ryker knew that he was fine, but she still worried about him. She didn't know what the duties were to be a guardian angel, but she had an idea that it wasn't an easy job. "I stabbed someone." She replied, shrugging her shoulders. Liam smirked at her audacity to lie to him, but he didn't want to lead her on and cause suspicion. "Really? So, this angel talk? It's not true?" He asked, licking his lower lip. Ryker shook her head and placed her hair behind her ear, hearing his name get called over the loud speaker. "Well, it's my turn to confess my feelings, but I'll be back to finish this conversation." Liam explained sternly. He got up and walked down the hall and she let a breath out that she didn't notice that she had been holding the whole time.
Ryker quickly scurried to her designated room and shut the door with blunt force, causing the walls to shake. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Ryker decided to stay far away from that Liam guy and hoped that Harry would show up and let her know what the hell was going on. She walked over to her bed and sat down on the pure white sheets, placing her head in her hands. "I don't belong here." Ryker whispered, tearing up as her built up emotions threatened to burst. "Harry, where are you?" She whispered, clenching her eyes shut as tears escaped and cascaded down her rosy cheeks.
Heaven
The supervisor cleared his throat and looked at all the gathered angels, trying to calm them down from the sudden chaos. "Calm down!" He said, his voice booming. Sudden silence filled the area and Harry was getting anxious on what he was about to hear. "As you may have heard, demons have made their presence known, but that's not the worst part." Gabriel, the supervisor, stated. Murmers floated around the room until he silenced them once again. "The demons are taking the form of angels. No wings, per say, just your faces, voices, personalities, memories, etc. The targets are the ones that you're protecting." Gabriel explained. Harry fumed at this revelation and he wanted to kick some demon ass, but knew it wouldn't help anything. He took a deep breath as his group of friends started talking amongst themselves. He rubbed his chin and waited impatiently for the cue to be told that they could be dismissed from the discussion. Harry heard Ryker call for him and immediately went to check on her, automatically feeling something was wrong and no good was to come out of this. "Ryker, we need to get you out of here." were the first words that came out of Harry's mouth when he saw her on her bed.
