The next day at lunch, all anyone was talking about was the fight between Eric and Mason.
It felt so weird giving him a name. I shook my head, getting him and Eric out of it. I had no room for stupid talk in my head. I needed to prepare myself tonight for the shoot.
Chelsea told me there might be an interview for the magazine release tonight. I'd be lying if I said I was excited for the interview part.
"Uh, Earth to Candice! Hello? Are you there?" Brandy said, waving her hands in my face. I gave up on my thoughts, turning towards Brandy.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Well, did you?"
"Did I what?" I said, looking to Ella for help. She rolled her eyes and talked to Eric, whom I found out was her boyfriend after the fight yesterday."Are you even listening to me?" Brandy said, putting her hands on her hips.
"Umm, maybe?" I said, shrugging my shoulders.
Brandy turned towards everyone else at the table. "Did anyone do the History homework?" She yelled. They all just shook their heads.
"Ugh! My life is over!" She exclaimed, putting her head on the table. "My parents will kill me!"
"You didn't do it?" I asked.
"What do you think this conversation is about?" She whined, tossing her hands in the air.
"Well, if you had just asked, I would have given it to you," I said, going into my bag and giving it to her.
"Oh my gosh, you are a lifesaver!" She squealed, quickly copying down the answers.
"Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, who's going to Kim Anderson's party this Friday?" Eric said, nudging Ella's shoulder.
"It's going to such an awesome party!" Ella said, almost bouncing out of her seat.
"I know I'm going," Brandy said, finishing the worksheet.
"So am I," Paul exclaimed, along with Xander.
"How about you?" Brandy said looking at me while taking a bite out of her sandwich.
"Uh, I don't know. I've never been to a party like that before." I said, totally lying. Being a supermodel, I got invited to all the sickest parties, but I couldn't let them know that.
"You should totally come!" April said, almost too excited.
"Yeah, you really should. They're not as bad as the movies say they are," Brandy said, reassuring me.
"Well maybe. I'll have to ask Chels- uh, my mom," I said, catching myself just in time.
"You better come," Brandy said, eyeing me. Just as he said that the, the bell rung, alerting the end of lunch.
"See you guys later," she said, her and I walking together to History with Mr. Holmes.
As we were walking through the crowded hallways, I couldn't help but think about Mason Albrecht. His intense green eyes, dark brown hair, and broad shoulders kept crossing my mind. Why him? There were so many other guys I could have, I mean, come on, I was a freakin Victoria's Secret model for Christ's sake.
As soon as I walked in, I sat in my seat, copying down the homework. Then, the late bell rung, and Mr. Holmes began to teach. All was going well until the door creaked open, revealing the person whom I wanted to see the least. Yeah, you guessed it, him, Mason Albrecht. I couldn't help but stare. What was he doing here?
"Mr. Albrecht, it's nice of you to join us. You can take your normal seat," Mr. Holmes said pointing towards the seat, which was dangerously close to me. There were only two open seats, one behind me and one next and in front of me. Please don't sit behind me, please don't sit behind me...
