"Can you tell I haven't slept very well since the last time that we spoke?"

"Master, when will we go on a real mission?" I asked, flopping down on the couch.

"When you are properly taught how to hold a lightsaber. What is with your informal reverse-hold? If the droids don't get you, it'll be because you stabbed yourself with your own lightsaber!" Master Plo-Koon said.

I smirked at him and stood up. I followed him to the dining quarters and took a seat. Several droids with platters of food placed them upon the table before disappearing. I took a bottle of my home-world's wine and poured myself a glass.

"You know I don't condone underage drinking!" Master Plo said.

"I'm sorry! Would you like some?" I held the glass out to him.

"Not particularly," He said, inching away from the drink ever-so slowly, "I'll never understand the ability of the Pamarthens to drink that stuff."

"Well only a few others can handle Port in a Storm. It's high in octane, as you know."

"Believe me. I know."

I smiled at my master before taking a long, mocking sip of my wine. I innerly smiled as my master shook his head.

"Anyways, I just recently earned my pilots license, and I believe that we should go on a mission."

"As do I, young padawan. But when you're ready."

"That's not fair! Obi-Wan just took his padawan on a mission! He's even younger than me!"

"By three years! And besides, I don't believe Padawan Skywalker complains as much as you. Now hush, and eat your food." Master Plo says. I shrink down in my seat and stuff a roll in my mouth. I'm ashamed of being scolded by my master.

We finish dinner in a silence, and walk back to the common room.

"Padawan, I must go to an urgent council meeting. You may stay here or go to the temple for practice."

"You can call me Adri, you know." I said, following him. Perhaps if he sees me practicing, he'll believe I'm ready for a mission.

"I find it informal. Buckle up, we're taking a speeder."

I buckled myself in without a word and we sped to the temple.

The ride didn't take long and we were soon there.

"After you, Padawan Pana."

"Thank you, Master."

We walked into the temple without much noise, only the sound of our boots on the marble. As soon as we entered the temple, Master Plo took a right towards the council room and I took a left for the training rooms.

I looked around until a found an empty room and sat down in the middle. I grabbed my knees and began to meditate.

It was quiet for a few minutes until I became acutely aware of someone else in the room.

I opened one eye and saw Anakin Skywalker looking at me.

"Hello, Padawan Skywalker. Back from your mission, I see."

"Hello, Padawan Pana." He said, smirking as he sat down across from me.

"May I ask what you're doing here?"

"Master Kenobi had to speak with the council about something urgent. He told me to practice my skills. Instead, I found you hogging a room to yourself."

"I'm not hogging! No one else was in here!" I said. How dare he accuse me!

"Whining is not becoming of a Jedi!" He said, in his best impression of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I smiled at that. I too had heard that lecture from Master Plo and Qui-Gon before him. May the force be with him.

When I decided to come with the Jedi, Master Jinn and Obi-Wan took me to Coruscant, before heading off to Tatooine. They found Anakin there, and had an unfortunate run in with the Sith at the Battle of Naboo. I wish I could go on missions.

Unfortunately, Qui-Gon had lost his life to the evil Darth Maul. I wished I could've met with him again. In the short amount of time I knew him, he had taught me many things.

"Fair. So what would you like to practice?" I asked, as I stood up.

"Well, I heard you're quite the pilot." He said. looking up at me.

"Well I'm from Pamarthe. Of course I'm a good pilot." And brave, though I didn't say that. One day he would see me on the battle field and realize it for himself.

"I am too."

"Too bad we cannot practice that. I'm dying to fly a starship!" I said excitedly.

"We could get a speeder..." Anakin said, raising his eyebrows.

I looked at him warily. What would Master Plo say to me stealing a speeder? He already said I was too impulsive for a Jedi. Perhaps this wouldn't be a good way to get him to trust me.

"No. That's not the right thing to do." I said, as I stood up. I ran my fingers over my Padawan braid and looked at Anakin. He was narrowing his eyes at me and biting his cheek.

"Maybe next time, Padawan Pana. It appears I will be going on another daring mission. Until next time!" he said, standing up. He walked towards Obi-Wan, who was beckoning him over.

"Goodbye, Anakin!" I said.

"See you soon,  Adri." He said, with a wild smirk on his young face.

Soon couldn't come quick enough
