"Distance isn't an issue, because in the end... I still have you."
I heard Anakin's panicked voice as I tried to recover from the crash. It was coming from my comlink.
"Adri! Answer me! Please! You' can't die on me! You WON'T!" He shouted. I shook my head and tried to get out of my Delta 7B. I could hear my astromech making wirring noises, assessing for damages.
"Adri? Are you there?" Anakin asked.
I didn't bother replying at the moment as I finally opened the glass. The sun blinded me, and I temporarilly forgot what had happened.
"ADRI!" Anakin shouted. I immediately snapped back to reality.
"I'm okay." I said.
"Adri!" Anakin sighed in relief.
"I'm okay." I repeated. I felt a smile grow on my face as I thought about my newly appointed Jedi Knight husband.
I had broken the most important Jedi Oath. I had formed an emotional relationship, some like to call it a marriage, to another being. To another Jedi.
The reason I had crash landed on Ryloth was because I had taken upon myself to save Anakin after he had an unfortunate situation with a few vulture droids. I had gotten shot down while attempting to help him.
I could feel that my dominate hand was definitely broken, which did not help my chances of surviving against droids or Sith. My right hand was used for my lightsaber.
"Hold on, Adri. I'm coming for you!" I heard Anakin say.
"No. This mission is too important. I won't have you risk it." I said.
"I am not leaving you there." He said.
"I'm not giving you a choice. Continue the mission. I will be okay." I said, before shutting off my comlink.
I reopened it to Obi-Wan.
"Obi-Wan, are you there?"
"Yes. A little busy, but what is it, Adri?
"I've crash landed on Ryloth. Where are you?
"Outskirts of Nabat. Make your way here, we will need the help. No reinforcements are coming till we liberate it." He said.
"I'm on my way." I said, shutting off my comlink yet again.
I looked around. The small village made entirely out of rock was seemingly abandoned. I helped my astromech, R9-M42, R9 for short, out of my burning ship and sat down.
"Yes, I know. We might be here for a while. Ryloth is under Separatist control. There's a blockade, that's why we were shot down. Hopefully, Ani and Ahsoka have handled that by now, no thanks to us." I said to R9, as he made his cute little beeping noises.
He beeped again.
"I know, my dear. I don't know when Anakin and Ahsoka will be able to get to us, or if they will. Our only comfort is the fact that Ghost Company of the 212th and Obi-Wan are here with us. In fact, I'm sure they would love to have us as company." I said, standing up.
"Let us find them." I handed my lightsaber to R9, who inserted it in a compartment on himself. I didn't need innocents terrified of me, especially if I couldn't speak to the natives to reassure them.
R9 and I started moving away from the crash site and down into the abandoned village.
"R9, scan for any activity. If there are droids or living beings approaching, I want to be prepared." I said. He beeped in reply, and complied with my order.
