[ Masks and Hospitals ]

IT WAS THE DAY AFTER Eva's date with Chris. It was also the day after the awkward car silence with Eva and Chris.

"So um..i had no idea it was going to rain." Chris said trying to fill the silence. "Yeah neither did I." Eva nodded.

"Yup, it was sunny ten minutes ago." Erin chimed in. She instantly regretted talking and left the convo. The rest of the ride was silence, except for the radio playing faintly in the background.

Erin was lying down in her bed staring the ceiling. She was bored and decided to call some of her friends to see what they were doing. It was Saturday afternoon and there was no one home.

"Noora! My beautiful blonde how are you?" Spoke Erin through the mic. "Um good. Listen, Eskild and I are kind of busy right now. Can I call you back?"

"Oh...yeah. Actually never mind it's fine. Have a good time doing..whatever you were doing." Erin pressed end, and called up Chris ( female )

"Hello!" "Hey Chris! Wanna hang?" "Sorry Erin I can't today. My stupid mom wants to go visit my grandparents today, she's dragging me along."

"Okay...have fun or at least try to." Erin chuckled and ended the call. She called Sana, Vilde, and Eva, but none were available.

Eva had said she would be right over as soon as she finished doing her laundry, but knowing Eva she'd get side tracked and forget that she was even doing laundry.

Erin walked to her living room and decided to watch Netflix. "This won't be so bad." Erin sighed. She clicked on a horror movie.

About an hour into the movie she was curled up under her blanket and had tears prickling in her eyes. She mumbled 'Don't go there you stupid idiot' without thinking sometimes because the characters had no idea how to survive a clown attack.

Little did Erin know, Eva was looking at the TV through her window and planned something devious. The doorbell rang and Erin shot her head up.

She knew better than to yell "who is it?" so she checked her window. It was dark now and she had trouble seeing the figure in front of her door.

Distracted from the movie she had forgotten all about her friends. Slowly Erin opened the door.

A person with a clown mask over their face stood there and yelled "Boo!" Screaming, Erin punched forward at the person and stepped back.

"Ow!" Shouted the person. The feminine voice groaned and clutched her nose. Erin saw it was Eva when she took the mask off. "Oh my god Eva are you alright?"

"I think you broke my nose..." said Eva. Tears fell from her eye. "Get inside." Erin ushered her friend into her house.

"I forgot you were coming over. And I had put on this scary movie I'm so sorry!" Erin rambled. Eva nodded. "I think I—ow—need to go to the —ow—hospital."

Erin grabbed a wash cloth and gave it to Eva. "Crap i don't have a car!" "Chris has one. I'll call him.." Eva said.

"I'll call him, you're hurt." Erin said. She dialed Chris's number on Eva's phone. "Hey babe." Babe. "Listen it's not your 'babe', it's Erin. Eva needs to get to the hospital and none of us drive."
