++++ ERIN LIED DOWN NEXT TO Chris on her bed and shoved a big piece of donut into her mouth.
"That's dangerous." Chris said looking at his girlfriend carelessly eat the glazed treat.
"I don't care." Erin said with her mouth stuffed. Chris rolled his eyes at her.
"If you die my speech at your funeral will be 'I told you so'." Chris shrugged.
Erin sat up and swallowed her donut. "Calm down, mom. I'm not going to die!"
Chris bit his lip. "Speaking of your mom, are you sure I'm allowed to be here?"
Erin's stomach dropped as she remembered the horrible things she said to her mother.
"I honestly don't know." She said. "I feel terrible about the things I said to her about her own personal life and her relationship with my father,"
Chris placed a hand on her lower back and moved it in circles in a comforting way.
"But I was just so angry that she hated you. I mean don't get her the wrong way though, you are a nasty boy who plays with girls' hearts, but you're sweet sometimes."
Chris chuckled. "Thanks babe. Glad to know I'm not a total d!ck." Erin smiled. "No problem."
She reached into the donut box for a chocolate donut covered in rainbow sprinkles, and took a big bite.
"I feel so bad I just want to cry." She said. Suddenly her eyes watered and she sobbed occasionally taking bites of her delicious pastry.
Chris stayed by her side and continued to comfort her. He rubbed circles around her back and put his head on her shoulder.
