Norman and I got close after the past couple days, we text all the time, and he's a great friend. But now, I have a crush on him, and it's so obvious that he has one on me too. I go to science and he is there, I can't help but smile every time I see him. We keep on talking and talking, but everyone makes fun of us. They've been doing that for days. He was sick of it. "Erin, what if we fake date so that way people stop telling us to date, they will stop making fun of us!" Norman says excitingly. I was confused, I thought he liked me. I guess not, "Oh yea, that's a great idea!" I say. So we are "dating" now. It was kinda weird, more people started talking to me and all of his friends became my friends. After school I went strait to soccer practice, it turns out he kept on texting me. It said:
"Hey Erin, I was wondering if you actually wanted to go out?" 4:15pm
"Hello" 5:00 pm
"So do you want to go out?" 5:30pm
I guess he was very anxious, and I was nervous so I only said "sure". But he asked me out over text... weird. The next morning I totally forgot to tell Haley about everything. So, I told her that we were dating. She was surprised, she didn't know I liked him. I guess I should've told her.

Norman and I have been dating for three days now. Everyone makes fun of me for liking him, but whatever. He is a little shorter than me, but I don't mind it. He has a bigger belly than most people, but I wouldn't call him fat. His best friend is a guy named Darren. And everyone calls him gay, but he's not, he's dating me. People also make fun of him because I'm faster than him at PE. I run a lot for soccer, so I have a 6 minute mile. Norman, isn't very athletic so he has more of a 9 or 10 minute mile. "Shouldn't the guy be faster than the girl?" the other boys say laughing. I would jog with him but I need to run to stay in shape. At brunch, I hung out with Norman, Darren, and Haley, but at lunch I played soccer like usually.
"Are you a boy?" a rude guy asks
"Um, no..."
"Then how come your playing soccer?"
"Because I like soccer."
"But your a girl..."
"Yea..."
Then the ball came and I ignored him. That was weird, I've never been called a guy before. School was over, I hugged Norman and went home. I got a text, I didn't know who it was but they asked if I was a boy or a girl... I have long hair and wear makeup, it is kinda obvious that I'm a girl.

The next day people just kept on getting ruder and ruder.
"Your ugly." "Your fat." "Your stupid." "You suck at soccer." "Why are you here?" "Ew, your dating Norman?" "How could Norman like you?"
I could go on and on, but I would rather not. Every day my self esteem just got lower and lower. I hate wearing my hair down, but I would wore it down and curled it so people would know I was a girl. I wore a skirt instead of my jeans or soccer sweats. Norman thought I was beautiful, but I didn't believe him. I've never felt like this before. I've never felt like I had to change myself just so people would like me.
