Normani woke to the smell of a grand breakfast. Ally had cooked a meal that looked too large for just the two of them and that confused Normani. When Normani sat down, Ally was in a zone making plate after plate. "Ally what's going on?" Normani asked nervously. "We're having company over Mani, isn't it obvious?" Ally said as she poured orange juice in four glasses. "One, the sarcasm is not needed, second, who's this company?" Normani asked and sat to the table. As soon as she sat down the doorbell rang and Ally asked her to get it. When Normani answered she was shocked at who it was.
"You?!" she screamed when she saw Lauren and Dinah at the door. "You're damn right." Lauren said, knowing it antagonized Normani. She brushed past her and Dinah stayed in the doorway until Normani moved aside for her to walk through. Normani returned to her seat and not to her surprise, Lauren was sitting in the seat next to her. Dinah sat across from Lauren and Ally sat across from Normani however she paid her no mind. In full believe that she wouldn't be having a conversation with breakfast she opened Instagram and scrolled through her feed. Little did she know, Dinah was getting the same treatment from Lauren that she was from Ally.Dinah kept pep talking herself into interacting with Normani but each time she was confident enough to fix her lips she realized Normani had forgotten they were in the same room. Dinah finished long before Normani did and she seemed to had sat there practicing her facial expressions for the time being, if Normani was paying attention she would've actually found it quite funny.
Normani finished and took everyone's plates to the sink. She plopped down on the couch in the living room and turned to Catfish on the television. Dinah watched her from behind until watching turned into staring and staring into drooling. All that proved to her was that it was dissatisfying to not talk to her. This went on for hours and eventually stopped paying attention. Dinah got up and turned the television off. "Don't touch our things." Normani said in a dry yet stern voice. "Ughhh could you stop already?! This plain, nonchalant tone you have is really irritating." Dinah yelled at her. Normani shot up and transcended into an uproar, "You wanna know what's 'really irritating'? The fact that my best friend is so thirsty for a fuck that she lets a rude ass vampire and her piercing ass sidekick run into our house and I'm supposed to just be cool and hospitable about it. If you had just played a corner or something I wouldn't have to say this but, it's really irritating that you're here right now." Dinah seemed unfazed, "Are you always this much of a bitch or was today a special occasion?" Normani stepped closer to her. "You just don't stop do you?" she asked while folding her arms. "If you have a problem with me just say it, don't work yourself up." Dinah evaded the question. "I just don't like you." Normani said, turning her back to her, and returning to the couch. "And why don't you like me?" Dinah asked, while enjoying how hot Normani looked when she was riled up. "Why do you ask as if I have to like you, is everyone supposed to orrrrr?" Normani sassed.
"LAUREN!" Dinah exploded. "Whaaaaaat?!" Lauren responded. "I don't want to be here.... I want to leave!" Dinah continued to shout. "Then leave!" Normani matched her volume. "Buuuuuut I don't wannaaa..." Lauren pleaded. "Mani what the fu-what did you do!??" Ally chimed in. "Nothinnng.." Normani answered like a brat. Ally stormed down the stairs like her mother and sternly whispered in her ear, "I for one happen to like Lauren being here and don't mind Dinah coming with her so you will be nice to her." Normani sulked and folded her arms, "No I'm not." she mumbled. "Maniiii..." Ally looked at Normani with piercing eyes. "Fine, I won't be mean to her." Normani finally gave in. Dinah sat on the opposite side of the couch, pouting.
Lauren came down the stairs and directly to Dinah. "I swear to God if you mess this up for me you will be sorry, suck it up and stop being a brat before I make you." Lauren threatened while trapping Dinah by the neck of her shirt. "Don't bring me next time." Dinah responded evilly. Lauren relaxed her grasp and pulled Ally to the side. "I am so sorry she's usually so nice I don't know what it is." Ally apologized. "No don't, Dinah can be really bratty when she wants to be, I hate it but I can't do much about it." Lauren explained. "Dinah seems sweet and Mani usually is so I just don't see how they can't get along." Ally glared at the two girls. Lauren followed, "You think they like each other?" Ally glanced at her, "Can't tell. I guess we'll just have to keep them around other enough to see if they do." The two girls giggled.
"Dinah, you got your wish, we're going." Lauren called. Dinah got up and hugged Ally, apologized, and said goodbye. Lauren smirked faintly as she saw how mature Dinah was being. Normani said bye to Lauren but in no way that sounded malicious. Lauren kissed Ally and said she'd call. She and Dinah walked out the door to the car.The ride home was quiet. Lauren decided she would break the silence. "Din.." she started. "Hmm?" Dinah answered hesitantly. "I have something to ask you." Lauren continued, "Do you like Normani?" Dinah's face reddened, "What? No! Where did you even get that?"" Dinah defended. "Alright Din if that's what you say that's what it is." Lauren already knew what Dinah did to avoid questions like that; she'd ask a question, answer yours, and follow it with a question. Dinah bit her nails for the rest of the ride home and Lauren didn't say a word.
