He looked so happy to see me. Now I realized what a waste it was spending all that time thinking what if he didn't come. Well, because he did.

Vee looked so happy when she brought him over to me. In the little house in the middle of nowhere, dark and gloomy, his green eyes gave off that glow as the day he helped me. They looked sad and happy. I couldn't tell if it was a good or a bad thing that I felt this way. I didn't want to feel this way. I mean sure, he helped us, but, he was working for the woman that wanted to kill us all. Yet, he helped us not caring if he died or not. Doesn't that mean something?

Vee dropped down and handed me the rope. I laughed and took it from her and the went right back up and left.

I went and in-wrapped him from the rope and threw it on the ground over in the small room. He smiled and shut the door, again no clue what that meant.

His smile drifted. It was suddenly gone. His eyes turning a nasty too bright of a green. "Scarlet. You didn't think it would be that easy to get away from me did you?"

I gulped. What. The. Hell?!?!

He looked at me, his smile back and his eyes that pretty green as before. "Sorry Scar, I didn't mean to scare you. Its just something that my eyes do when I try to do something dumb. I could wear contacts if you would prefer...." I shook my head 'no', "Okay, really, you have to believe me, I didn't mean anything of it. I'm not going to kill you. I got Lexiey of your guy's back, she is not coming this way. I sent her to Germany. "

He walked over pulling me close to him. Wrapping me in a warm hug.

Then it hit me. "You- You're a- a...." I backed up. Of course he was!! Why else would his eyes be that same shade of green??

He looked confused. "What do you mean? I'm not anything other than what you are. Just some teen with powers." His brow arched up.

"You're a fucking Hydradil and you don't even know it?" I demanded from him, trying to sound not afraid.

"A what? Did you say Hydradil? What in gods name is that?"

I ran over to the bed where I was staying and grabbed a book from under it. This book had everything from the rulers that 'made' us so to speak. "Only Hydradil's have eyes like yours. Look," I pushed the book over to him, "'Hydradil; those who can: Mind-Read, Song wave, Control water. Those who can receive and power given to them.  Hydradil's eyes are a bright glowing green, a symbol of the family. The family of the Hydradils. Only ONE in the realm."

He dropped the book and ran to the window. A strong wave of wind came over the house and everyone ran outside. One woman stood with her arms out and called, "My son, my Ceal. You now found your powers with Scarlett. She is your keeper. She will keep you alive. She will help you. Ceal never forget that your father and I love you." Her eyes glowed the same green as Ceals where, and one tear dropped from her face, digging a hole in the ground. "Goodbye Ceal, good luck."
