"Shin," you said as you picked up Mika from the bouncer, "when do you you think Mika will say her first word?"

He shrugged. "I would assume sometime soon. She's getting to that age."

You said nothing in response, as Mika let out a small giggle at Midorima's voice. A smile appeared on your face, as you realized your daughter was moving her eyes in search of Midorima.

"Ah, I think she's looking for you," you said, walking over to the dinner table, where Midorima was reading a book.

He glanced at Mika briefly, before turning back to his book. Mika whined at the back of his head.

"Shin," you huffed, "that's mean."

"Hold on a minute," he replied, placing a bookmark in the his book and closing it.

He stood up, holding out his arms. You gladly gave her to him, and her whining stopped immediately.

"Aw, she really loves her daddy."

Midorima's face lit up, and he attempted to say something back: "N-no... I-It's not like that--"

You let a laugh. "It's fine, Shin. It's all right if she's a daddy's girl, isn't it?"

Mika lifted up a hand, a smile on her face. "Da..."

"Oh?" Midorima said, "It think she's trying to say something."

"Da..."

"It's going to be her first word!" you squealed.

"Dada."

You were in awe at her first word. Midorima, on the other hand, was even more embarrassed.

"She really does love you!" you teased, poking his cheek.

"[First Name]!"

Mika laughed again. "Dada! Dada!"

...
