AN: Okay I will try to update more often guys. I am just really busy so please be patient.

Caroline's POV:

"What are you doing here?" I asked quietly.

"This is my house." He said smiling.

"I mean in Mystic Falls." I said harsher. "I thought you left to take care of buisness."

"Well , I did. You see, the buisness I was taking care of was telling your hybrid boyfriend to leave me alone. Alng with all his other un-sired hybrid friends." He said harshly. "You see, Tyler has created a few problems for me and I needed to fix them."

I took is an unsteady breth. "You didn't..." I trailed off not being able to finish.

"Don't worry love. I didn't kill any of them. But your boyfriend almost went to far in trying to kill me and harming my child."

I winced at the sound of that. "So Hayley is back?"

"Yes. I sent her to live with some friends in Europe where she will be sadfe. Once the baby is born she is coming home. I can't risk them in New Orleans."

"Well you seem to be happy with her so excuse me." I started walking out of the room but Klaus grabbed my arm.

"Caroline...." He breathed in. "I do not wish to stay with Hayley. I want my child to be safe. Isn't this what you wanted? Me caring for the baby?"

"Yes! The baby. Not that were-slut!" I yelled at him.

He laughed and after a minute I couldn't help but join. Then I stopped remebering I was mad at him.

"Why?" I asked

"Why waht love?" He said more serious.

"Why didn't you stop me?" I asked slowly.

"Stop yu?" Klaus asked

"From leaving. I thought..." Ididn't finish thinking I ws crazy for believing that something could have happened between us.

"You made up your mind." He said.

"So that's it. You didn't even want me to stay?" I asked. Tears started falling on my cheeck.

Klaus tried to wipe them away but I stepped back. "Don't." I said.

"Caroline . I..."

"Just save it. It ws stupid for me to think that you cared. That we had something. Some connection." I said.

I looked into his eyes and before changing my mind to fight him. I sped out of the room. I wasn't going to let him win so I wiped my eyes and stayed.

the rest of the night I didn't see Klaus once again. I talked, laughed and had a little fun but I still had an emptiness in me. I told Elena and Bonnie I was going to go home because I didn't feel good and didn't want to hang out.

I sped home after the dance. I got dressed and climbed into bed. I sat there crying for a while and thought about what I told him.

What if he stops trying? Why did I ruin this? He came back. Wasn't that enough?

I heard a knock at my door. I wiped my eyes and went downstairs to answer it.
