Second to Last Chapter!
Oh my god! I am soooooo sorry for everything and not updating in over two weeks. I feel awful and terrible, I have been insanely busy. And I've been working on this story and I wrote a few short chapters but realized there was a HUGE plot hole that I made. So I put them in one chapter so I could make a packed chapter for you guys. I originally had some filler chapters that were going to develop some characters some more, but I couldn't figure out how to do that, so I think I made it work. Let me know if you don't agree and if you thinks it all happens too fast (I'm not talking sex)
So...yeah
This update is a long one.
30.
I was sitting with Kevin, my new boyfriend, and his friends for the third day in a row now. It was splendid, I felt so special. I was waiting for him to ask me to winter formal, praying on it, actually.
Cacee and Jamie were sitting with us. Neither of them have hooked up with any of the football team members yet, but it was only a matter of time.
They were kinda distant lately, not talking to me much.
Maybe they were jealous.
Infact, I laughed at the thought. They were jealous. Especially Cacee, she'd always glower at Kevin whenever we touched.
They were in a class together and got partnered and someone was telling me they fought the whole entire time. She was just envious I had a boyfriend and she didn't.
Kevin sighed dramatically, lost in thought.
"What, hon?" I asked, dropping my head onto his shoulder.
"I'm going to kick the freshman off our team," he admitted, looking at his team.
The team laughed in agreement.
"As captain, I'm in charge of kicking people off the team. Reece needs to be gone. He has sucked in the past game, hardly shows up for practice, and is...well...weird." he explained, but everyone already knew.
I nodded along, I agreed with everything.
"I mean recently he's been acting like a freak," he concluded, with a slight tinge of laughter.
The others laughed, again.
I laughed too, because he could never understand how much I agreed with his statement about Reece.
Yet, Kevin could never understand the relationship between Reece and I.
"Totally," I said, realizing I sounded like I was high.
"He's just not to the standards of our team. I'm glad someone agrees with my opinion. For a while I thought the team and I were just be ignorant," Smith, another member on the team.
"Don't worry," I laced my hands with his. "Reece is definitely not as cool as you."
I couldn't bring myself to call him a freak. I couldn't say the words myself.
"I hope he doesn't freak out," the other people teased.
As if on cue, Reece appeared on the opposite side of the cafeteria. He stood there, looking aloof, but never so alone. He was wearing a Stanford sweatshirt and jeans, his usually casual hot look, but any attractiveness was gone.
"Should we do it now?" I asked, feeling part of the team.
The team looked at eachother and all nodded in agreement.
"Hey Reece!" Kevin beckoned the frail boy over.
Reece seemed shocked, as if he hadn't heard his name being called in a while.
