Hi!
How are you guys? Wow, this book has
So many views!
There's been some comments about my ending and I really appreciate you guys expressing your opinions and criticism. Seriously, I do. And I seriously thought about what you guys said.
So a few people have pointed out that ending of this book was neither ideal and to some people insulting.
Upon rereading the book, I realized the tone and dialogue in the scene prior to Molly going home was foul and even out of character. While it wasn't my intention, some people can argue that the ending made a joke out of mental illness, but, as you know, the point of the book was to do the opposite and show how mental illness is not a joke. While I will keep the ending ending, I will rewrite the first part of the chapter.
The Reason I ended it that way was to express how many people hide their own insecurities and self-hate by laughing at others. That gives people the ability to forget themselves and focus on the flaws of others. But there is that moment where people realize that what they did and sometimes that moment occurs by getting a taste of your own medicine.
And, yes, the ending was a little hard and possibly unrealistic, but I wanted to get a point across.
I deeply apologize and am currently rewriting the last chapter.
Please be honest about what you thought of the ending and again, I love that you guys expressed your concerns.
