Stepping over the clutter (tissue  paper I still had neglected to pick up from my Christmas presents), I grabbed my wallet and walking down stairs.

Dakota and Grey were sat on my couch, tossing boyish grins to my mom as she spoke. When Dakota looked at me, he discretely flipped me the bird.

I cuffed Dakota on the head as I walked past, and heard Grey laugh. "What was that for?" Dakota called. I didn't answer, simply hugged my mom.

"Kota already filled me in on when you'll be home. Have fun, and be safe honey." Mom kissed my forehead. "I'll try." I sighed, but a smile tugged on my lips.

"Bye boys. Make sure she stays out of trouble for me." My mom hugged the two, and I snorted. I would be the one babysitting.

I all but dragged the two out of my house, anxious to go. "Ready to cry?" Dakota bumped my shoulder. "Oh you know it!" I grinned happily, and looked up at him. He had that stupid smirk on his face, and I had to roll my eyes. "Shotgun!" I yelled. "Damn it!" Grey cursed. I jogged to my side, plopping in the leather seats.

We were going to see The Hobbit.

After much insistence and begging (on my part), Dakota caved in on going with me.  "You know, that was my spot before you came along." Grey grumbled. "Yeah, Debby Downer? Now it's mine." I shot back, kicking my feet up on the dash.

Dakota spluttered out a laugh as he started his car and drove out of my driveway.

Dakota put on La Dispute, and one of my favorites popped up, I See Everything. I watched as the houses flew by, and the sky behind them was tinted such a pretty orange as the sun began to fade.

I was far too deep in my head that I missed Dakota saying something. He elbowed me in the ribs, and I squeaked. "What?" I growled. "I said we're here, you dillhole!" He laughed. I perked up instantly, hopping out of the car.

I linked arms with the two boys, and grinned happily. "I'm so excited." I giggled, smiling.

Roughly two hours later I walked out in tears, whining.

"My poor Kili." I sniffled as we weaved in and out of the crowds. "I know Kitty." Dakota chuckled, squeezing my wrist.

"Kit!" A voice called, and I looked around, spotting Dean walking towards me, his brother Nick trailing behind. "Hey!" I smiled, and hugged him. Dean squeezed me against his chest, and I squeaked.

"So what movie did you see?" He laughed, dropping me. "Um, the Hobbit." I looked down at my shoes. "Really? That's what we're here to see!" Dean said, and my head shot up. "Really? Wow! Small world!"

Nick tugged on Dean's shirt. "Well, I'm sure you two wanna head on in. Bye guys." I took the hint, and waved. "See ya." Dean winked, and I rolled my eyes.

Dakota grabbed my hand and practically yanked me out of the theater. "How do you know him?" Grey asked. "Well, we met at the beach." I shrugged, feeling both boys on each side of me.

"Mhm?" Dakota nodded, and pulled the door open for me. I looked at him. Why was he being so weird?

Looking between the two, their body language was the same; hunched shoulders, clenched jaw, fists curled into balls.

"What's wrong?" I asked, tugging on Dakota's sleeve. "Nothing." He grunted.

So, I did the most rational thing a girl could do. I sat on the top of Dakota's car.

"Get down, Kit." Dakota sighed. "Not until you tell me what's wrong." I crossed my arms stubbornly.

"We don't like Dean." Grey said. "Grey!" Dakota gaped at him. "What? She wanted to know." He shrugged. "Yeah but not like that!" Dakota ran a hand through his hair.

"Why?" I raised my eyebrows. "He likes the ladies. And he isn't that subtle about his new girlfriends. We're just... concerned." Dakota was choosing his words carefully.

"I don't like him though." I told them. "You don't?" Grey asked. "No. Sure, he's hot. But I would never date him." I slid off the car, and got in. They hopped in, and I smiled a little when Dakota slipped his hand into mine.

"Want to come over? Sammy misses you. So do my parents." Dakota grinned at me as he turned on the car. "Sure." I chuckled.

Dakota took short cuts down sketchy alley ways to piss me off.

I quickly got out of the car, jogging up the stairs and abandoning the boys. I let myself in, and grinned at Kota's parents. "Hi Helena, Hi James." I smiled at them. "KIT!" Sam squealed, ran to hug my knees.

"Hey you!" I laughed. I picked him up and spun him, making him laugh and giggle.  "Did you miss me?" I asked, pushing his hair out if his face. "Yes!" He nodded feverently, and I grinned. "You always hog her attention, Sammy." Dakota whined as he walked past us, Grey trailing behind him.

"C'mere, Sam. Let your brother have his friends." James smiled as I set Sam down, who begrudgingly walked back to the couch. "I'll see you in a bit, Sammy." I smiled softly, and walked after the boys.

They were in the kitchen, grabbing snacks. Dakota handed me a PB&J sandwich, along with a large Peace Tea. "Quite the cook." I teased. "Oh, I make a mean sandwich." He winked at me.

Grey made a disgusted noise, and I rolled my eyes. "What now?" "Oh nothing." He said sarcastically.

I sent him a series of rude gestures, involving the cactus Helena was growing. Dakota nearly choked.

We scurried down stairs, and had to play rock paper scissors over what to watch. Much to my despair, I lost. We ended up watching some anime I couldn't pronounce.

Dakota squashed me up against his side, and I tried to keep my head out of the gutter. He was so warm, so very warm. And he smelled great, as of now like movie popcorn and vanilla. Or how every time he spoke, I could feel his chest vibrate.

So, he was making it very hard for me.

The only thing that snapped me out of ny 50 Shades of Grey daydream was Dakota pinching my hip. I squeaked, nearly jumping out of my skin. "W-What?" I growled, glaring up at him. "I said your name like 6 times!" He laughed. "Sorry." I mumbled, feeling my face fire up.

"I said Grey left. Vic came to pick him up." Kota rolled his eyes. "Does this mean we can watch Being Human?" I looked up at him. "If you can beat me at wrestling." He smirked. I took a chance, and tackled him.

"You little shit!" He growled, fighting back. I shoved him on the floor, digging my knees into his chest. He groaned, but pushed me off with little struggle. Dakota squished my back against his chest.

He held me there tightly, and I groaned.

"We have to watch Doctor Who." Dakota grinned triumphantly. "I hate you." I grumbled.

He laughed, and pulled me back onto his bed.

It was halfway through Blink that i felt him staring at me. "What?" I asked, turning to him but keeping my eyes locked on the screen.

I didn't notice how close he got until the moment he leaned down and kissed me.
