I can't believe how linear these people are sometimes. How have they become so advanced when they can't seem to think of anything new?

With Rafe's help explaining in terms that they understand my stress levels go down and the headaches stop becoming so debilitating.

Until the wedding plans come up. Then not only my stress level goes up causing immense headaches but so does my last meal. Fortunately for me, Jenry has taken it upon herself to plan everything. I just give my preference for when she gives me a choice. Really I don't care about it. I'm already married, as far as I'm concerned this wedding isn't necessary until it was explained to me.

"The knowledge that the Other's are looking for us, it's become known to the populace. People are starting to panic. If we give them something to focus on, something normal, then it helps them. Besides, it gives them faith in their leaders." Jenry's words make sense to me, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

If I don't have the baby by a certain date they are going to take it by c-section. That makes me nervous. The people don't even have ultrasound machines and they want to do a c-section on me?

I still go to the planning meetings for defense, but mostly I listen now to what they have planned. Most of it is so far above my head that Rafe has to dumb it down for me later.

"Wait, what? Run that by me again?" I sit up straighter as an idea hits.

"What part Princess?" The scientist asks diffidently.

"What did you say that you have in your labs?" I can't help the smile that comes on my face.

"We have samples of all the human illness's on Earth. Why did you want to know, Princess?"

Rafe understands me, I think, because he stiffens. "How many of these illness's have your people been inoculated for?"

"All of them Princess. If something were to happen and they got out to the general public-" Understanding strikes him.

Slowly all of them start to understand. Germ warfare at it's finest.

"Rafe? What do you think? Those that aren't exposed to the simplest of virus's, even the flu virus that we've been accustomed to can be deadly. And it's airborne, whatever we choose would have to be airborne."

"Yes, I read the account from your histories. The biggest problem would be of course the delivery system. How would we get the illness to them?"

One of the scientist has an idea. The council meeting breaks up to work on the further ideas.

"You realize that even if this works, it might not work in time to stop them from killing us all?" Rafe says as we are alone.

"I understand, but you realize that if they take it home it will decimate their forces and people so completely that they will no longer be a problem for the universe? I hate to do it, but they kill billions without thought or care, they make it a sport. It might not save us, but it might save others."

"Have I told you lately that I love you?" Rafe says holding me close.

"It's been a whole four hours. I was beginning to think you stopped loving me." I tease my husband a bit. He smiles at me, my heart skips a beat. I still can't believe that someone so incredible loves me.

"Their death weapons are calibrated to specific DNA," I had had to explain what this was, but once I did they understood, they just had a different name for it. "They've never seen you. You are even more of a ghost to them than they are to you. Once they come to here, they are likely to try to capture and dissect some of us. At least that's what they did on Earth." I say, just thinking about what they did makes me nauseas.

"Then that can be one of the delivery systems. We won't be able to stop them, we can try, but if we fail we can turn that failure into a win." Rafe takes over this part of the meeting. He understands what I want to do, or have done.

Not only will we intentionally infect many of the populace with various illness's but we will also give them some vials and air release canisters that are tiny, easily overlooked and hidden, but they will hold a great deal of virus's. They haven't figured out yet how to scrub virus's from the air. Other contaminants yes, but not virus's.

If we survive I'll give them some ideas on that as well. Seriously, how did a people so advanced be so behind at the same time?

We figured Ziamlia would be their target for the capturing. We are the first planet of his people and the biggest. It looks like we have few if any defenses. It's a carefully crafted lie, we just hope the Other's accept the lie at face value.

We tell the people of our plans, on this thing only. They were thrilled to be included in the possible attack against the enemy. By then they all had heard what happened to Earth and they don't want the same thing to happen to their family and friends.

We give out injections of the virus and hand the people the small vials and instructions for them. They are to carry them wherever they go. People started making them part of their clothes and accessories. It was pretty funny, but it would be effective.

I was worried about how we'd get our people back.

Then Rafe showed me something he'd never showed me before.

"Maha, stop worrying. We might not be able to get them all back, I know you don't like that idea, but we aren't going to be as helpless as you were either." I look at Rafe, I had been strapped down and unable to move, why would he think that he and his people wouldn't be as well?

Then Rafe had me sit down. His nails elongate and turn into razor sharp talons. His toenails do the same. He told me that from the placement of the restraints he saw from my memory, that they would be able to cut through them.

Okay, I get that, but that would only work if they have time alone without being unconscious.

"Most anesthesias don't really work on us Maha. Our doctor's had to develop some unique ones to make us actually go under. The ones they use to put me in a coma are very strong and very expensive. We'll just have to hope that whatever they use won't work on us."

My worries, although abated a bit haven't abated enough for me to sleep well at night. Especially since the baby is getting closer and closer to delivery date. There is so much that could go wrong. A mixed hybrid of Rafe's people and whatever I am. They hadn't even been sure that we would have been compatible. Guess we are.
