Before I knew it I was perched on the edge of the kitchen island eating ice cream from the tub as Simon continued talking, making me occasionally laugh and almost cry.

"One time my then teammate got a 52 year old woman pregnant he of course didn't think it was possible and to this day we call him cougar prey Charlie....My mom died from cervical cancer when I was 12 and my dad was abusive so I took my sister and ran off to my aunt's house and she practically raised us and ended up adopting us. Everyone wonders why she and her husband look too young and nothing like the two of us but besides a couple of old friends no one knows a thing." Simon talked and talked and I listened not making any comments since he was being a whole new kind of Simon, one that I liked. Once he was done talking I nodded.

"Thank you for telling me...everything." I croaked out into a whisper and he gave me a one sided smile.

"No problem. It's only fair you tell me something about you though." He took the spoon and ice cream from me and mirrored my position by hoisting himself onto the island opposite me. He was still insanely tall sitting so I craned my neck to look up.

"Hmm okay, I'm a fan of American football although soccer isn't that bad. I was raised by a mother who never had enough time for me so I ended up basically living with Angi, and I went where she went which is how we ended up in London."

"That's it you just dropped everything for her?" Simon was confused by this but most people were when they first heard this.

"It's not like that, with Angi she wants new, flashy, different which was London and I just wanted to be anywhere but home." Home used to be a shitty studio apartment in Queens filled with needles and empty beer cans.

"Why didn't your mother have time for you?" He questioned, seeming genuinely interested.

"I don't remember interrogating you." I narrowed my eyes at him and he smirked.

"You didn't exactly tell your life story like I did love." He pointed out and I huffed in exasperation. Simon did have a point.

"She was a drug addict, always putting her addiction before anything else. My dad left when I was like 5 years old and after that she quickly got mixed in the wrong crowd, luckily that was the same time I met Angi at school. I remember her mother came to drop off my backpack after a play date at Angi's she saw the dump we lived in at the time and told me to pack my things up and that I was coming over for a sleepover. I went back sporadically to check up on my mom after that but I lived in Angi's mostly. Once I was old enough to work I paid for my mothers rehabilitation and got a full ride scholarship to NYU. And here I am." Simon looked at me differently, with admiration, it was a fleeting emotion but I managed to catch it.

"And now you're my agent." He said wistfully, I wanted to know what he was thinking.

"Oh I know how far I've fallen from grace." I sighed dramatically to lighten the mood and he chuckled. Simon then looked at something behind me and hopped down to stand.

"It's almost 1 AM if everyone hasn't left already I should kick them out." He commented and held his hand out to help me down which I took.

"Are you kicking me out?" I whispered as I stood in front of him, looking up into his eyes. Simon hasn't stepped back and he didn't seem to have any intention to do as he looked down at me, his gaze traveling from my eyes to my lips and then his own parted to say something.

"Ivy babe I'm gonna go home with the cutie if you don't mind I'll catch you at the apartment in the morning!" Angi interrupted our silence as she popped her head into the kitchen, sending Simon a foot back in shock. I mustered a smile as I tried to recollect myself. For some reason my body ached for Simon to be close to me again, maybe the alcohol was making me crazy.

"No problem I'll call an uber." I waved her goodbye and she grinned as she bounded off clearly clueless as to what was about to happen. What was about to happen? Was I about to kiss Simon? He was my client not to mention a jerk that I couldn't kiss nevertheless think of romantically. I needed to get home before the wine continued heightening my hormones.

"Don't call an uber I'll just drive you home. Or you could stay the night." Simon suggested clearly back to normal. I rolled my eyes and walked off.

"Wait! Please let me give you a ride." Simon said realizing his sleazy comment pissed me off. I thought about this and logically it was the best decision so I turned around.

"Alright fine but no more inappropriate comments." Simon made the motion of sealing his lips and gestured towards the hallway.

He led me to his garage filled with expensive luxury cars. I couldn't help but gasp. Simon was eating up my reaction.

"Which one?" It took me a while to register that he was letting me chose.

"G wagon, definitely." I said and he nodded. He grabbed a pair of keys and walked to the car, opening the passenger door for me. I would've squealed from excitement if Simon wasn't watching me like a hawk.

"Why the G Wagon usually girls go for the lambo?" He asked and I realized he wasn't trying to be inappropriate so I let it slide.

"First of all have you seen Jurassic World, second of all sports cars are overrated, third of all have you seen Jurassic World?" Simon laughed at my explanation.

"Yes I have and I'll keep that in mind the next time I buy a car." We took off and I tried to remain calm as we smoothly drove to my apartment.
