"Alex you owe me $1000 and a hell of a lot of promo." I called him after three hours of research and half an hour spent trying to bribe the girl to not spread rumors and maybe I had to do some mild threatening but it was my job.
"Holy fuck I do owe you, thank you so much I don't-" I hung up on him and turned off my phone, needing a moment to recuperate. After visiting the club Simon and I talked for a while most of which had to do with the mystery one night stand.
"What's her last name?" I asked convincing myself I wasn't jealous but if I had to be his agent I should probably know and do damage control.
"Hell if I know I barely know her first name. Are you jealous?" Simon said truthfully and I rolled her eyes.
"I'm doing my job and that's not very helpful but then again she'll fit right in with the other blonde white skinny girls who you've slept with." Simon whistled low and I hated how jealous I sounded even though researching him and keeping up to date with gossip concerning him was my job; although I didn't expect reality to sting. After that I fortunately got a call from my receptionist and faked that I had a meeting soon which Simon didn't seem to buy but I still left hastily.
Even though the situation had settled down now I still felt pissed off and I knew it was because of Simon damn Minter. God, I would love to yell at him just once for being an annoying asshole but that would cost me my job. Maybe I could convince Angi to do it. I decided to turn on my phone and call her.
"Hey bitch!" Angi answered cheerily and I smiled to herself, already feeling better.
"Hey Angi I've had a shit day." I sighed into the phone.
"Tell me everything." And so I did and Angi didn't interrupt once since she's a great friend.
"Sounds like you need to get fucked." Angi said and my jaw dropped at this statement.
"What?!" I was as shocked as I sounded.
"You're clearly filled with sexual tension for who I won't say in fear of getting my ear chewed out." I was so confused had my best friend snorted something?
"I'm not 'filled with sexual tension,' the last thing on my mind is sex especially after talking to Alex." I clarified and Angi chuckled at this even though I was dead serious.
"Okay sure I'm just saying consider a boy toy, you're hot, a FWB should be easy to find, no strings attached is what you need right now girlie." Angi said matter-of-factly and I grew more confused and now back to being irritated. A friends with benefits, could I even do that? I seriously doubted my capacity to use someone like that and not get attached. But if I truly was a volcano like Angi put it maybe it was something worth considering.

Simon Minter:
Meet me for dinner?You:
Hard passSimon Minter:
Oh come on we're inevitable you might as well give in now+++
As always he wasn't helping my annoyance. It was almost time to go home after the hectic mess of a day I'd had. I really wanted to kick back with a glass of red wine and some Chinese takeout. When I got home Angi wasn't there since she had another date with the cute party boy.
I was surprised to hear the doorbell ring since I hadn't ordered food on ubereats yet and Angi had left twenty minutes ago so she surely would've come back already if she forgot something.
I opened the door to find Simon on the other side instead of letting him in I blocked the entry with my body crossing my arms.
"I brought you Mexican food." He pulled out a bag of food from behind his back and I was pretty hungry so I took it out of his hands and moved back to let him in.
"Thanks." I said after a while realizing I would've been hangry soon anyway.
"My friends live in this complex I don't know why I didn't realize it before." Simon said after a beat or two.
"Really, who? I might know them." I was intrigued since I knew for a fact no footballers lived in this tower.
"Tobi, Josh, Callum, another Callum, and Harry." I think I knew all of them since we'd run into each other in the lift.
"Yeah yeah I do know who you're talking about but I'm not exactly friends with them. They all seem nice." I added and I was surprised Simon was friends with them since they seemed to polite and kind compared to him.
"We could go over together I have to stop by to say hi anyway?" Simon offered since I was almost done eating. It wasn't a bad idea since I didn't know many people in London besides Angi and people I worked with.
"Alright that sounds like a good idea" Simon looked me up and down as I got up to go with him.
"You look too hot." He crossed his arms across his chest as he assessed me, not even flinching at this comment I just rolled my eyes.
"And you're pushing it let's go asshole." I commented and shoved his arm lightly to turn around and gave the door I was heading out of. He grumbled to himself but moved and followed me.

"Hey Tobi this is Ivy she lives in the complex." Simon introduced me lazily and I controlled my expression and instead smiled at Tobi who laughed probably catching my annoyance.
"Hi it's nice to officially meet you!" Ivy stuck out her hand and Tobi shook it.
"Yeah likewise come in!" Tobi seemed awfully nice to be friends with Simon.
"Callum, Freezy, Chip, and Harry this is Ivy!" Tobi said pointing to some faces I recognized they all smiled and waved. After all the introductions had been done Freezy asked me a question.
"How do you know Simon?" Simon was being unusually mellow I had noticed.
"I work at P.R. company for footballers but we actually first met when he ran into me and spilled his drink on me at a club."
"No you ran into me and you got it on me too!" Simon was back to himself and his friends laughed as I turned to look at him incredulously
"Fuck-" I was cut off by Harry.
"Oh that was you! Simon told us some hot girl ran into him!" Harry exclaimed before the other guys looked at him with narrowed eyes even Simon lost his composure and let out an exasperated sigh. My eyes widened at this statement and I just crossed my arms over my chest.
"Anyways...how do you guys know Simon?" I asked them.
"Harry and I met him a long time ago, we used to play FIFA together, and these guys met him through me and Harry moving here." Tobi explained and I still didn't understand how they were all friends because they seemed normal compared to Simon's egocentric persona. We went on to talk about the guys I knew and who they knew which also happened to be people I knew. The guys were funny and thankfully Simon didn't talk much because I wouldn't have enjoyed myself as much if he had.
A/n: I truly do love this fic and I'm finally getting time to write now so expect more updates coming soon X.
