"Dean!!" I screamed, as loud as I could, because maybe, just maybe, he would hear me. But he couldn't hear me. He was so far away he couldn't even see me.

The werewolf we were hunting was suddenly right there in front of me, growling. I screamed again as it tackled me to the ground.

Then it was over. I opened my eyes and sat up, looking around to take in my bright surroundings. It took me a second, but I my eyes finally adjusted, and I realized I was back in my room in the bunker. I had fallen asleep reading. I picked up the book that had fallen to the floor while I slept and cringed at the pain in my chest as I put it on my side table.

Ever since it happened, I've been dreaming it over and over again. I couldn't escape it. I almost died. As well as the event still haunting my dreams, I was jumpy and paranoid of everything. I hadn't left my room since... I felt like I would never get over this.

A few moments later, I heard muffled voices outside my bedroom door. It sounded like Dean. Great, just what I needed now: that jerk coming in here to "check on me." Anger boiled inside me as I tried to listen to who he was talking to; I could recognize Castiel's voice anywhere.

"She had another nightmare," I overheard Dean say.

"Dean," Cas said. "She will get better with time."

"Yeah yeah, I know. But Cas, I can't take this anymore. She hates me. All because I screwed up on that hunt and she got hurt. I guess I deserve it." Right, he does deserve it, and more. "She's convinced herself that I'm a bad person, and no one can tell her otherwise. She hasn't spoken to me since we brought her back here. She said she hated me then..."

"She will get better with time," Cas repeated.

"Jeez, I get it okay! You can stop saying it! I just wish I knew when."

"I can't do anything about it, Dean. She won't let me heal her mind. You will have to wait."

"Well, there is something." Wait, what was he doing? "You can erase her memory. So that she doesn't remember that hunt or anything after. Please Cas."

What! No! He can't just do that!

"Are you sure that's what you want?" Cas asked. He can't seriously agree to this.

"Yeah."

"What about her injuries?"

"You can heal them when you do it, she won't remember anyway."

"Very well." Oh crap. This isn't good. He can't erase my memory!

"Thanks Cas." Oh no! No!

At that, Cas opened my door. "Hey, Cas," I said nervously. I could see Jerkface at the door watching. "How are you?"

"Hello. Fine." He came closer and closer to me and I slowly inched away towards the wall until I could go no further.

"Anything going on lately?" It might not do any good, but I thought I'd try to stall. I couldn't let him do this! He had no right!

"No." He approached my bed and lifted his hand to my forehead.

"Cas wait! You can't do this! No! DEAN I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS!!" He hesitated for just a second after I said that, glancing over to see Dean's reaction. Dean looked hurt, but at his nod, Cas continued to touch my forehead with his two fingers. And everything went black.
