Alex wasn't far behind me. Tears rolled down my face; I hated hormonal changes. I was just fine five seconds ago. My neck burned as if I was a vampire and holy water was dripping down it. No, that was blood. My blood burned. What did he do to me? "Make it stop. Please, Alex, make it stop." I pleaded with him.

"It's poison. Damn vampire hunter injected human poison into my fangs! That must mean he knows I have you. What the hell else does he know?!" Alex paced back and forth. "It should be gone from my fangs now; let me suck the poison out." He looked at me seriously as I covered my neck. "I'll do it forcefully. I'm not just going to sit here and watch you slowly die."

I uncovered my neck, and in the next second, he was drinking from it. This must be what it felt like when blood was taken without permission. I let out a bloodcurdling scream before he was able to let go and retract his fangs. "I'm sorry. Is it gone?" I inquired with tangible fear.

"Yes, it's gone. Without that scream, I wouldn't have been able to stop. So thank you." Alex wiped my blood off of his face and gave me soda and chicken strips.

"I feel like a child." I giggled, and he smiled his beatific smile. It dimly reminded me of something, but I let it go. I would dig through memories some other day. Alex pulled out some beer, and I couldn't help but laugh again. "Thanks for ruining the child mood," I smiled as I opened my beer.

"My pleasure, Carlie, darling." Alex did love calling me his 'darling.' At least he didn't say it in that annoying southern way like some men do. I remembered that he wasn't even from this country, and I gleamed. A foreign man, calling me 'darling,' I thought. I could tell anyone exactly why I loved him. We fit each other completely. We like the same things, we love with passion, and we don't give up. Ever.

CHAPTER 3

His blood filled my veins, and I felt too full of blood. It was then that he did something I didn't expect. He went against my wishes, and he killed me.

All I could see was a bright light. "Mother? Am I dead?" I really believed I could see her, but then my vision returned. "No, please, no. Don't make me face him. I'm afraid I'll want to kill him." I murmured to my mother, who I couldn't see anymore.

His face was all I could see. "Get away from me! You are supposed to save people using vampire blood. Or save those who you love who may be lost forever!" I was a vampire now, and everything came flooding back. "Y-you killer! I'll bet you killed my father! You said you wanted him dead! And then you changed my memories around more than once!"

"You saw the bite. I gave him vampire blood and killed him. He became what he sought out to kill, and he became depressed after and killed himself, Carlie, darling." Alex tried to soothe me, but it didn't go well. I backhanded him and grabbed his neck.

"You wanna freaking threaten to kill me?" I snapped his neck. "Looks like I don't have to threaten anyone. I just do it."

I ran out of the house and into a club. "Private room with a few..?" I gave the man a twenty. A few men followed me in, and they shut the door behind them. "Who wants to bring me a drink?" I licked my lips hearing their heartbeats, which were frantic in anticipation. The bravest one came forward with a glass of wine. I cut him with a fingernail and formed the word, 'oops' with my mouth. The blood drove me crazy.

"None of you are allowed to leave this room until I say so. You won't scream. You will forget when I let you out, and then you will clean yourselves." I dug long, aching fangs into the brave one. I could have drank him dry, but I let him go after licking his neck, sealing the bite closed. "Go have fun, darling." I used Alex's words, and it seemed to me as if the man started to glow. That must have been what I had looked like. The rest were quiet and quick, and it was easy to stop with them. Their blood was laced thickly with alcohol, and that could easily make a vampire stop feeding.
