While I raced towards their house, I reflected on an amazing night that took a turn for the worst. The way he led me to the rooftop where you could see the whole city and the stars, oh the stars that shone so bright in their millions. And the soft touch of his hands on my skin, so gentle. Then there was the way he kissed me. It was like his lips were perfectly moulded to fit mine and the way he tasted of something inexplicable, I couldn't get enough. But then I just left him there, without saying anything just expecting him to understand. I'm making a promise to myself, I will call him tomorrow and explain everything. I owe him that much as well as an apology. Hopefully he will understand and forgive me for my actions.
Soon enough I arrived at my childhood home. The house was just as it was when I was growing up. I knocked on the door even though I knew I didn't have to, my father was the one who answered the door and welcomed me back home. I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek and I asked where my mother was. He told me to look in my sister's room as she was still living with them. My mother was sitting on her bed, tears streaming down her cheeks with tissues in her hand. I didn't ask her anything because I knew she wouldn't be able to answer me so I sat next to her and held her against my chest while she cried.
Eventually she stopped crying enough to tell me that my sister, Everleigh, is missing. Neither of them know where she went, all she told them was that she was going out with friends. It's already past her curfew and she's never come home this late before. I offered to drive around town for a little while and see if I could spot her in the crowds.
