The year was 2030 and our Country was in constant terror. World War 4 had started and the damaged America that we lived in was again being pulled into the loop, the public was freaking out because people with special powers were constantly being found, and families were still grieving the death counts from the previous world war that was less than 8 years previous. Meanwhile I couldn't even fins the courage to talk to the girl who I was deeply in love with. She was perfect and everyone knew it, everyone but her. I was sure that she didn't even know that I existed, but even if she did when she found out that I was one of those weirdos she would never speak to me again. I felt that my life would always be mediocre, that was until the day that the soldiers came to our small town to take away a kid that had been found to have powers. While they were there they decided to go ahead and make all of us seniors in High School sign up for the unavoidable draft for when we graduated. That was the day my entire life changed drastically.
