Seventeen years later, Reagan and Sirius found themselves walking beside their daughter, who was heading out to begin her final year in Hogwarts.
Their nephew Harry and his wife, Ginny Potter née Weasley, walked ahead of them, with their three kids; James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Reagan. James was off to his second year, Albus his first, and Lily still had to wait a bit before she could born the train bound for Hogwarts.
Reagan and Sirius smiled at their nephew, as they watched their kids run through the wall onto the platform. The parents all followed behind, smiling as they were filled with nostalgia at the sight of the great scarlet steam engine.
Ron and Hermione stood waiting with their children, Hugo and Rose, and the Blacks smirked at the sight of Hermione fussing over her daughter, who was to be beginning her first year along with Albus.
"You keep watch over the kids, alright, Polly?" Reagan said, hugging her daughter before she boarded the train. "And make sure you keep an eye on James—we don't need him causing anymore trouble!"
Polly chuckled, hugging her mother back. "I will, mum."
Polly moved to hug her father goodbye next. "Set off a dung bomb, for me, will ya?"
Reagan smacked Sirius on the shoulder, giving him a stern look. "Don't encourage your daughter to do such things! I think Professor McGonagall has had enough trouble from us Blacks."
"Only, joking dear," Sirius reassured her, sending Polly a wink when he was sure Reagan wouldn't see.
"They grow up so, so fast, don't they?" Reagan sighed, waving goodbye as the train pulled away, her daughter and grand nieces and nephews waving back.
"They do," Harry said, smiling.
Reagan turned to face her nephew, squinting her eyes at him. "Your hair's really gotten grey. Goodness, I'm old."
Harry rolled his eyes, chuckling. "You really shouldn't say much, Aunt Reagan."
Reagan smacked him on the shoulder, chuckling slightly. Sirius was guffawing beside her. "Now there, Sirius! Yours is almost completely grey!"
Sirius wrapped an arm around his wife, kissing her on the cheek. "Oh, how you wound me so, my love."
"Shut up you great lump."
Harry smiled, turning his head to look at all his family. He was content, at peace. His scar hadn't hurt in seventeen years, everything was calm.
All was well.
